Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States of America. President Lincoln accomplished many important things throughout his time as president. During his presidency, Lincoln established the U.S Department of AG, the U.S. Banking System, and his most known accomplishment, the Emancipation Proclamation.
One of his most memorable accomplishment is the Emancipation proclamation. The Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order stating the freedom of slaves in all areas of the U.S that were not in Union Control. This executive order helped the slaves become free and not be tortured and beaten. This law was also hated by the slave owners because they knew that there slaves would do whatever it took to become free. The Emancipation proclamation was written during the Civil War. This law was a very helpful law to those against slavery. It started the abolishment of slavery for good.
During presidency, Lincoln also established the Department of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture was built to meet the needs of farmers and ranchers, to promote agricultural production, and work to assure food safety. This law assured people safe food to eat and helped farmers grow and harvest healthy products. By establishing this department, Lincoln helped U.S citizens from getting diseases spread through meats and plants. He established the U.S Banking system

These three accomplishments are three factors that we still use today. Because of Abraham lincoln slavery was abolished, we have clean healthy food, and we have a banking system for finances. Abraham Lincoln, guided his country through the most devastating experience during his time—the Civil War. He is considered by many historians and people to have been the greatest American president. Abraham Lincoln, was a self-taught Illinois lawyer and a legislator with a belief that every man should be free in America. Many were shock that he had overcome several prominent continents in the Republicans Party’s nomination for president in 1860. In the North many people agreed that is was fair to let the slaves be free, but for the south who need slaves for picking cotton were not so happy. People in the South, called the confederates hated the idea of freeing the slaves, and this is how the Civil War started.
He had slaves but did not treat them like slaves he treated them like an actual person. That is why i liked him. Let’s talk about him when he went he signed the emancipation proclamation. He was assassinated because he signed the document and then he stopped slavery and then that is how he got assassinated. So he signed the doc on September 1,1863.
