The United States is none to be the most successful for our economy and diversity. Since World War 1 to the present the U.S. fought in wars primarily for security. The exception for that would be for abstract principles for joining vietnam. There are definitely other thing that played into us joining the wars like for economic gain and abstract principles.
The U.S entering World War 1 was justified. The United States didn't decide to get involved until a couple Americans died because the Germans sunk the Lusitania which was carrying about 173 tons of war munitions for Britain and contained American soldiers, 128 died. Second, it was the Zimmermann Telegram, Germany told Mexico to declare war on America which outraged them, and lastly, Germans would sink anything that goes in their way with their submarines. I believe it’s good they fought or else we wouldn't have our freedom or money back from Britain. They created a marine warfare by shooting down anything that

There were 2,996 immediate deaths and more than 6,000 injured. It is also believed the other reasons for invading Afghanistan is fighting for the people of Afghanistan human right, we also wanted their oil, and It was believed that they had chemical weapons that they planned to use on us after 9/11. There was also the fact that we wanted to contain the influence of other people committing terror on the united states just because Al Qaeda did. It started us by trying to ask for Osama Bin Laden because he was believe to be the leader of 9/11, but Afghanistan protected him so it gave us more reason to attack. I personally think that we started because of 9/11 because they threatened us and we had to make sure that that didn't happen again because we lost so many lives that day and we were also just mad at the same
As soon as World War One broke out, Woodrow Wilson, the president at that time immediately declared the United States neutral to maintain the nation’s stability. President Wilson thought the United States should take no part in a war where they were not affected. But, as the war carried on it was evident that a stance of neutrality was just clearly not the case. Even though they were not fighting in World War I, the United States were definitely involved. Whether it be loaning goods to a party of the war or rising turmoil with a belligerent nation, America did take part in the war before their actual entry. Voluntary or involuntary, the United States involved themselves in the war in many ways , most definitely contradicting Wilson’s policy of neutrality.
I feel like the U.S. should not have joined World War 1. I think the reasons we joined the war were not big enough reasons to send our soldiers to war over. I believe our reasons for joining the war are good reasons, but still not good enough to send people into battle to lose their lives for.
The Germans were not going to stop instigating until the United States entered the war. Also the Germans were going to win the war if the United States did not step in soon enough. If the Germans had won things would not have ended well for the other nations. The United States was not as injured at the other nations we were fresh and clean and ready to fight. The other nations were still dirty from trench warfare and many of their soldiers had already died. The United States came in at a perfect time. These are the reasons why we the United States made the right choice in entering World War
9/11 was a major factor in the United State’s decision to declare war on several different countries. Not even a month after 9/11 occurred, the United States sent troops to Afghanistan
The United States had to go through some events, before entering the world war with Germany. The United States had entered the war because Germany attacked american ships, the Zimmerman note was sent to the Americans threatening the U.S. president. There was also an unrestricted submarine warfare, the selling of weapons, lending money to allies, and wanting to make the world safe for democracy. World War 1 passed through many events in order to start the war.
Throughout the course of history, World War 1 was known as one of the worst wars out of all the wars. Though it was one of the worst, the United States had contributed to the Allied war effort during WW1. The United States had contributed to the Allied war with plenty of men, weaponry, ammunitions, machinery, and also providing a major moral boost for the men who were already engaged in the battle. America had also played an important role that had determined the outcome of this major conflict.
When World War One started, president Woodrow Wilson tried everything he can to avoid getting involved in the war. Although some trouble was started and some rules were broken. Woodrow Wilson was included into the war for because of this trouble. Germany illegally attacked the us. Woodrow Wilson’s reason for getting into war with Germany was because of the pledge Germany made was violated and Germany still traveled onto our land with restricted war ships, and because of Germany’s attempt to attack Mexico. One reason why that caused Wilson to go to war was because Germany went on our turf without permission and attacked our navy.America during the war had issued a declaration to remain unincluded with the
The two main reasons America should have stayed out of World War 1 are money and trade, and immigrants.First of all, the war was incredibly costly in lives as well as money. America totaled 323,018 casualties, with the allies’ total casualties double the central powers (Doc 14) and after the war the United States’s debt had increased by twenty billion dollars (Doc 18). Rich men, known as robber barons, were prospering during the Industrial Era and during the war, as they made money while poor soldiers were sent to die in the trenches (doc 8). Before 1917 the United States had strong trade with both the Central and the Allied powers but after declaring war on Germany America lost trade partners and lost money (o.i.). Secondly, America is a nation of immigrants that hailed from all different parts of the world, including from countries in
My Opinion for the 9/11 is that it was a deliberate act of terrorism done by Al Qaeda. It was a deliberate act of terrorism done by Al Qaeda. It has killed over 3000 people and affected much more. To say that the US had done is pure madness. Why would the U.S. government do such a thing? To conquer Afghanistan for its riches? Very unlikely. The 9/11 killed over 3000 people. The government would never kill so many people for a slight chance at earning a lot of money. Was the collapse even scientifically possible? Now, let's look into this a little deeper…..
The United States entry into World War I was inevitable because of the events leading up to it. This can be seen through the sinking of the Lusitania, mixed feelings towards involvement in the war, an apprehensive feeling towards Germans living in America and the Zimmerman Telegram.
37,466,904. This is the total number of casualties during World War 1. The United States accounted for 323,018 of those deaths. Almost 40 million deaths could have been avoided without World War 1. So was the damage caused by World War 1 worth it? Was it beneficial for the United States to enter the Great War. Yes, it was. The benefits accompanied with America entering the Great War largely outweigh the detriments that the war brought. The United States should enter the Great War because the war will benefit the United States economically, will help the United States gain a more powerful military, and the end of the war will lead to the 19th amendment thus allowing women
World War 1 was a war that lasted from 1914 to 1918 and was a war that involved and was molded around alliances. This war in Europe would eventually turn into a global war that would involve 32 countries. United States involvement was crucial to the outcome of World War 1 and made a serious impact in our country. Both positive and negative effects were felt by Americans during and even long after the war. Mixed feelings were felt from many Americans for entering the war that would affect society.
The United States’ War on Terror following the attacks on 9/11 began with the invasion of Afghanistan and an attempt to to overthrow the Taliban government for harboring Osama bin Laden, the one responsible for the devastating attacks, led to devastating casualties of American and Taliban soldiers, as well as countless civilians. The United States launched Operation Enduring Freedom on October 7, 2001 and began a ground and air attack in Afghanistan. In the first year of the war, it is reported that between 1537 to 2490 civilians were killed in the air assault led by U.S. forces (Guilliard 66). The U.S. swiftly defeated the Taliban but failed to capture Bin Laden before he escaped to Pakistan. It is reported that roughly 13,000 Talibani soldiers were killed in the first year of the war Guilliard 74). This led to very poor relations with Afghan “rebels” in which there were many sporadic battles with that led to Afghanistan becoming a
The US entered WW1 because of Germany's unrestricted submarine warfare. Germany had a plan, they did not want the US to enter the war. They decided that if they do a warning it will scare the US and they won't enter. History.com, a website with multiple authors wrote an article named “Germany Resumes Unrestricted Submarine Warfare” says that “By 1917, the war was not going well for Germany on the Western Front. Unrestricted submarine warfare was a result of desperation and the belief that the ferocity of such a tactic might just keep America out of the war if the results
The United States entered World War I because of German submarine warfare against merchant ships trading with Britain and France, which led to the sinking of the RMS Lusitania in which 128 American lives were lost. [3] The US had also intercepted the Zimmerman Telegram which had been sent between Germany and Mexico, urging Mexico to declare war against the United States. [4]
