What Is The Tone Of All Summer In A Day

Decent Essays

The second page of All Summer in a Day by Bradberry is significant to the overall development of the story. It also introduces characters in a surprising manner. Plus it uses literary devices to enhance the story’s tone. In paragraph two on the second page the author introduces a new character that had been referred to as one of the bullies. This character gets introduced with a conversation between the main character and the bully. “What’re you looking at?” said William. Before this Margot was staring out the window, waiting for the sun to come out. William being the bully he is, questions everything margot does. This is important to the development of the main character Margot because it shows her relationship between the rest of her classmates.
