My own personal response to the article “ A Change Of Heart About Animals” written by Jeremy Rifkin is he discusses information regarding animals and also birds. Also this article talks about researches about animal’s behavior. For example, studies show that pigs need affection and if neglected it may cause sadness for them and can cause failure in health. First, studies learned that crows have somewhat intelligence in themselves as well. For instance crows have a very well mindset on using tools.
There are over a million species of animals in this world, and chances are you have not heard about a majority of them. In fact, even scientists claim that they have not been able to discover all of the animal species on this planet so far. They discover new ones every year! Some animals are cute and cuddly, while others are downright weird. In this article, we will list top seven weird animals that you probably never heard about.
In the article, “A Change of Heart about Animals”, by Jeremy Rifkin argues about how scientists have shown and proven that there are many similarities between animals and humans. Jeremy Rifkin believes animals should be treated with more empathy and that the animals should be treated more like humans. I agree with this statement and that they should be treated better with more animal rights.
“Eating Animals” is written by Jonathan Safran Foer. This book was published on November 2, 2009. Jonathan Safran Foer is an American writer who is known for his novel, “Everything Is Illuminated”. In this book, Jonathan believes that those who eat meat are involved in the most horrifying crimes committed against animals. Foer Cleary admires his grandmother, who believes that you can never have too much food. Throughout the book, Foer also describes his grandmother’s favorite dish, chicken with carrots, even though he is a vegetarian. Foer cannot eat something that seems to cause him some distress. Throughout the book, Foer presents the conflict between cultural traditions involving meat traditions he wishes to share and his views as a vegetarian himself. Anyone who is a meat eater or even an animal lover, this is a must read book. This book is written with clarity, force and passion that will lead anyone to think carefully about eating animals and where it comes from.
BATH (WENY) - This past April WENY News brought you the story of a group of horses in Addison that were rescued after being found in poor health. The State New York Police had to euthanized one of the dying horses and charged the owner with animal neglect. After just six months of being in foster care and getting the proper nutrition the horses that were once severely malnourished are now back and healthier than ever. The Fingerlakes SPCA says they're even ready to be adopted.
Based on Jeremy Rifkin’s article “A Change of Heart about Animals” I totally agree with what he has to say. As humans we are born with empathy. As we grow older we learn how to develop more empathy. One of our journeys while on this planet is to appeal to humans empathy. We learn how to have more empathy to those who we care about the most.

Contrary to what we might think, animals share similar characteristics with us in terms of their physical and psychological states. Jeremy Rifkin, author of twenty books on the impact of scientific and technological changes on the society and the environment, writes in his op-ed piece “A Change of Heart about Animals,” research which supports animals have behavioral, mental, and emotional states. Koko, a gorilla, was taught how to use sign language and has mastered more than 1,000 signs and can understand several thousand English words. To express their sense of individuality, orangutans use mirrors to explore parts of their bodies they can 't otherwise see. A common misconception is animals can 't feel anything, meaning they don’t understand suffering. However, elephants appear to experience grief by mourning for the dead and standing next to their dead kin for days (Rifkin). Also according to Victoria Braithwaite, a Professor of Fisheries and Biology interested in animal cognition, studies in her article "Hooked on a Myth" suggests nociceptors, specialized nerve endings that alert creatures to feel pain, are found in the mouths of fish. This study proves animals have the ability to experience pain. Rifkin’s

To put this on equal terms, think one day you and your family are taking a leisurely stroll down the park. While walking down the spark another person randomly tries to kill you. But, no one but your mom is wounded with a poisoned wound without an antidote. Frighten you would not be able to know or think straight with the sight of someone dear to you dying right in front of your eyes. Now if you would please take that picture and put it in terms of an animal being hunted by another species far more advanced, without a way to protect themselves. Is it really morally right to kill another living thing for sport? Especially when the animal involved is on the endangered species list, to be fair, it is on the endangered species list for a reason because it is on the verge of becoming extinct. So let me ask you again why should anybody think it's more to hunt and kill animals that are endangered or simply in our backyards. it is morally wrong to continue trophy hunting as a Leisure activity when endangered animals are
Do you know about the folk tale about the hippopotamus. Well it starts off like this, a God creates a hippo and tells it to cut the grass for all of the other animals. But then the hippo soon figured out how hot the sun was. So he then asked the God if it would be possible for the hippo to cut the grass at night and stay away from the sun while it was daytime. He also asked to stay in the water in the daytime, so he could stay cool. The God said yes but he was scared because he thought that the hippo would eat the fish. But the hippo was a good hippo, and it did not eat the fish it ate the vegetation. The Hippopotamus is remarkable because of the way it lives, how it survives, and how it has been impacted by humans.will if a hippo is not your favorite animal after all of that, wait until you get to the end of this paper.
In the article “A Change of Heart About Animals”, Rifkin asserts that humans are treating animals in the most atrocious way, and he claims that in order for their lives to improve, we need to definitely adjust ours. He uses great amount of logos, and several experiments done with different animals and tries his best to closely relate animals to us, humans. Rifkin although, never inserts a call for action to this problem throughout his article. Instead, he puts the emphasis on the pathos of the argument. In the world we are living in today, there is about 8.7 million different living species. Whether they are land or marine animals, they do play a big role in our community such as being apart of the food pyramid, assisting handicapped people wherever they go, or being a transportation for people living on farms and fields. With this being said, the ranking of animals in our community has brought up a heated argument in connection to their rights and welfare. Eight legged, four legged, or two legged land or sea animals do not comprehend the concept of rights. If we, humans, give animals “rights”, we are basically inferring the fact that we are like animals, and they have the entitlement to share our rights. Although they don’t understand rights, the fact that many of these animals are being treated inhumanely is wrong and animal welfare should be ingrained into this community rather than the massive inhumane treatment.
It’s interesting to find out what animal you are and see if it’s true or not.
When you dissect any animal, You'll be required to cut open the frog with a scalpel, you can easily identify the basic organs and systems of the frog, explore the anatomy of the animal, and write about the basic organs. About 10 to 12 million animals are put down through dissection every year in America. Most of the dissected are caught in the wild. Commonly dissected animals caught in the wild include 7 million vertebra like frogs, turtles, sharks and countless Invertebra like grasshoppers, crawdads, and starfish. In December 1999, the Israeli Minister of Education announced an immediate ban on dissection and live-animal experimentation in the country’s schools.
Animal experimentation by scientists can be cruel and unjust, but at the same time it can provide long term benefits for humanity. Animals used in research and experiments have been going on for 2,000 years and keep is going strong. It is a widely debated about topic all over the world. Some say it is inhuman while others say it’s for the good of human kind. There are many different reasons why people perform experiments and why others total disagree with it.
