Fordism, a term that in the early 20th century forged from Ford Motors which was found in 1903 and became widely used in describing mass production and mass consumption. The term itself was named after Henry Ford when him and his engineers came up with new innovations in layouts of the factory to be used on a regular basis to modernize operations and reduce the time required to assemble each car which ultimately led to an increase in demand. Fordism has been used for years and if it never reached the light of day we would not have production as fast as we do now. In this essay I will be explaining more on what Fordism is and will be provide examples regarding why it was a good idea. Fordism has two descriptions in economic development, one

I think Ford did the right thing by asking Americans to "move on" because like he said "I cannot prolong the bad dreams that continue to reopen a chapter that is closed. " That's how felt about it. He wanted to do better. It was a new chapter and he wanted move on from all the bad thing that happened in the past. However, I also think he didn't do the right thing because Nixon should have been treated like the criminal that he was. He needed to face it like anybody who does something bad or to have been the president made him special than anybody else?
Ford change the way United States was paying their workers. Henry was spending 100 dollars to train each new worker but many only stayed no more than two months then quit. “not only did he put America on wheels he changes the way businessman price their products and paid their workers” (Folsom 6). With everybody getting cuts more and more workers were able to afford his car that they were making. Absenteeism and turnover almost disappeared over night. This method worked that ford was able to organize money to make roads.
Henry Ford revolutionized the way people traveled throughout the nation of the United States. A short time after the first model T rolled off of the assembly line, Mr. Ford found the need to create a vehicle that would ease the burden of caring for the horses that pulled the wagons and saved time for his fellow workers. The model T pickup was born! No more horses to care for, no more strapping the carriage to the horse, and defiantly no more poop to scoop. How did Mr. Ford create so much value for the people? By recognizing there was a need to take care of, a want to fulfill, and a demand to meet.
