The Isthmus of Panama Route= this route was traveled by ship to Panama. This was the shortest route taking between 1-3 months to complete. The museum celebrates the history of the Central American isthmus as one of the world's richest ecosystems. That is just one step that Panama took in the 20th century, before that they have faced serious environmental issues. For most of the history, money took precedence over conservation, and an idea of “man over nature” pervaded the culture. The forests were regularly chopped down to make room for cattle and other livestock and the soil was depleted along with the habitat destroyed. Now that Panama has begun to take positive steps for there ecosystems. They have started protecting areas like parks and wildlife refuges, write environmental laws, and establish conservation

Even though it is pretty up to date communication and technology wise, it still sticks to its native roots. Panamanians are quick to tell you what they love about their country. Whether it’s the climate, the culture, or the outdoors, national pride runs deep in Panama. Many Panamanians feel strongly that their country is different from others in the region. This is mainly because of its intense history or unique geographical location. Whatever the reason may be for its uniqueness, Panama is more than just a canal.

I plan to leave on May 30th, 2016 on Delta Airlines and arrive back on June 20th on a round trip for $746. When I arrive in Panama City, I plan to stay at the Hotel Milan Panama for $70 a night, which will cost $1,540 total. Hotel Milan is sixteen minutes away from Habla Ya, which is walking distance, but I should bring $400 for transportation if needed. This hotel also has a restaurant that has food plates from four to ten dollars, and sandwiches from three to seven dollars. The food can also be brought to your room for one extra dollar. Knowing that, I will bring $600 for food and other miscellaneous items that I may want to purchase while I am there. Together that adds up to be thirty-two hundred, eighty-six
