Being a parent transformed me in unexpected ways. I found myself wanting to provide for my daughter and later my son the same security and benefits my parents had provided for me. I found a job at University Children’s Center. UCC provides care for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years and I wanted to be close to my children. I worked with all the age groups but found my niche in the infant program. I enjoyed the close bonds I was able to form with both the babies and their families. I took great pride in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I took classes to become Infant Nursery Room Supervisor. Once again, I excelled in my studies and enjoyed the learning process. Bringing the information I learned into the classroom was

The main reason for attending university is to earn a degree and start a career that will create a successful future for the student. Besides taking numerous classes, one of the most important aspects of college is writing a college resume to acquire either an internship or a job to help the student build a foundation and gain experience for their desired occupation. Writing a college resume is like trying out for a football team. You want to be as direct and clear as possible, while also showing off a little here and there to gain recognition and separate yourself from the competition. To be a complete and effective college resume, the author must use concise yet informative and logical words that appeal to the reader, while also using a rigid and structured format that makes it easy for the reader to find the information he or she is looking for. A good college resume can lead a student to a lifelong career of success; a poorly written college resume can hold back a student’s progress into

Animal testing has served many purposes in the development in medicine. Without the use of animal testing, humans would have no knowledge of the effects of a medicine, vaccine or product. The practice of using animals in research studies began with William Harvey's experiments in the seventeenth century. Harvey explained “By using different species to conduct his study, Harvey aimed to demonstrate blood circulation (Human Health).” Since then the abundance of animal research became the basis of medical, and scientific studies. Animals have made major breakthroughs in both the scientific and medical realm, however, the use of such testing is often considered inhumane and unjust. I will be evaluating

Once we learn the curriculum we get the opportunity to go to the middle school that feeds our high school and teach four classes about living alcohol free. Each of the classes is geared towards a different lesson which are Integrity, Wisdom, Responsible Decision Making, and Leaving Your Mark. All of the classes are based around alcohol, the effects of it, and how we can
This was a mock resumé that I created in my 12th grade AP english class. The resumé was used as a practice for when we need to create them for professional jobs later in life.
