After high school, I must complete two-four years of pre veterinary or science studies. Then, I am able to apply for veterinary school. After I apply and get in, it takes four years to get a DVM degree. Depending on what job I want in the vet world, I could take a 1-2 year internship program if I wanted to specialize in one specific area or I could complete a 3-4 year residency program to become a certified specialist. There are plenty of skills that I will need to have to become a vet.
There are education and experience requirements to start a career as a veterinarian. Most veterinarians complete around four years of undergraduate education and receive a bachelor’s degree before applying to a DVM program. Undergraduate courses taken should heavily emphasize focus on biological and physical sciences. A veterinarian must graduate from a veterinary school with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or a Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree. Even though getting a bachelor’s degree is not a requirement, it can highly increase the chances of acceptance. It is often the best choice to earn your bachelor’s degree because of extremely competitive admission rates with DVM programs. Nonetheless, all DVM programs still require
I picked this career because I’ve always had an interest in it. I am not financially set up to become a veterinary in livestock sadly. It will always be an option to me but for now, I have settled to become a Registered Nurse (RN). I would go to become a CNA, LPN, RN, and then possibly become a NP. Either way I’m still helping the sick. Whether it be animal or human. I enjoy helping those in need.

I mean he did love being with the animals and meeting new friends, but he really wanted to be a hairstylist. He worked at a veterinary hospital, he helped, diagnosed, and did surgery on animals.

My passion is to help heal and save injured or sick animals with a degree in Animal Science, I can do just that and more! With an Animal Science degree under my belt, I plan on going back to college to pursue my passion and become a veterinarian. But how does becoming a veterinarian help support the agriculture community? With becoming a veterinarian, I would heal sick and injured animals every day. Some of those animals may include livestock, horse, dogs, cats, and many more animals. With becoming a vet, I can help the agriculture community by healing livestock. One moment that really fuelled my passion was when I had to help birth a calf. One late friday night at the vet clinic I work at, a rancher came in with a cow. The cow was having difficulties
