Through the readings this week it has been reinforced to me that language is an important aspect of life which is used in many different ways in our day-to-day life. Gee and Hayes (2011), view “language as something physically present in the world” and “is present in the form of speech, audio recordings, and writings believing language is a material object”, (p.6).
Language exists from birth as a basic form of communication either physically or verbally. Physically language can be expressed through sign language, facial expressions and body language (such as gestures and posture). Verbally language is used to express our emotions and inner thoughts; to inform and inquire; as well as to argue and discuss a variety of subjects.

Language it’s what help us grow up, the more we learn through it, the more we desire to experience and study in deep, leading us to new prospective, opening our mind to more specific and deep concepts, ideas, projects, goals. We really can’t

Language is essential to every interaction and aspect in human’s everyday lives. Imagine a world without language, everyone will be mute and doesn’t have any connection with each other. Being able to communicate through language with each other forms bonds and that’s what make human different from any animal species. And language gives us a unique and diverse characters to each of us.
Language can be defined as a means of communication through spoken sounds, written symbols, or hand and body gestures. Subject to this simple definition language is neither human nor animal exclusive, meaning that all living creatures use some form of language to communicate. Humans have created the most advanced system of language. Human language has advanced to include listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing and visual representation. These components are known as the six language arts and while they are individual components they are as well interdependent. What you learn about one affects what and how you learn about the others.

It is formed either orally, written or physically. Oral language is an essential element used in the classroom as well as everyday life, it consist of speaking, listening and also signage. Written language is as equally important for it assist in developing language skills.
Language is a system of making meaning through the use of different forms of communication such as verbal language, written texts, visual properties and gestures. These methods of language progress in stages throughout a child’s development, beginning as early in the mother’s womb.
Language is the heart of the world we needed to survive. Languages human creation without language would not be able to communicate at all. Verbal communication is life's natural occurring communication system communication is essential for human beings. The most perfect to a human communication is language. To establish a meeting from the contact we can use words. Through words people sharp their identities. People can express their feelings and expressions to each other through words. Language is a method in which individuals communicate in order to get their opinion across to the listening party. Language is the tool which ideas can be conveyed in various ways. Typically, language is referred to verbal communication, however, it ranges to all methods of communication i.e. sign language.
It does so because when we cannot clearly communicate through language we are apt to be misunderstood by others or express meaning that is other than we desire. Expression of our thoughts is a complex process and language remains central to clear expression. However, there are different forms of language other than words or voice expression. As one instructor asked of her students, "How do we pass information along without using voices, letters, or numerals" (Language, 2004, p. 11). One answer would be the use of nonverbal language, which is often conveyed through body movements, posture, facial expression and other techniques. Once more, such facets of language are symbolic and differ across diverse cultures. However, when students learn to understand the different and broad meanings of language across cultures even, then they have a better grasp of communicating and receiving communication. All too often, as one educator maintains, "When thinking about what language means, younger children often make connections to oral language or the learning of a foreign language" (Language, 2004, p. 11).
Language is perceived as the way humans communicate through the use of spoken words, it involves particular system and styles in which we interact with one another (Oxford 2009).
Explaining how language can be viewed as an object, and when we view language, we find it to be meaningful when in use. However, to not see language as an object and rather look at it in a living socio-cultural phenomenon we can draw from these the implications that can impact our classrooms positively. Language has impacted the way in which different cultures communicate, it impacts on how we teach students to read, speak and write. Language can determine how different cultures are perceived within a community other than their own. Language can be viewed as an object, that can be defined as a communication tool. Language can be broken into different dialect from different socio-cultures and those cultures can impact on how students and
Language is something that we need and use for everything in our lives. Language is, “a symbolic communication system that is learned instead of biologically inherited.” (O’Neil, 2006). Language is communication that is either written down or spoken in words or sentences. We need to have a good understanding of language to learn, work and for our normal lives. You need to know language to be able to communicate with other people. Language has structure and meaning, for example words and sentences. Language also had tone, pitch, pace and volume. There are several types of language, receptive language, expressive language, emergent language. Receptive language is how you receive and understand language and expressive language is how
In the beginning of this module I knew the importance of language in the sense of its importance for communication with people and the world. I have always loved to tell stories and being able to write down what I had to say was made possible through language. Language has always been important to me. I just never knew that language can have such a major impact on my identity and that it has had a far more important influence on life than people give it credit for.
One of the first things that comes into your mind when you hear the word “language” is communication, isn't it? However language is much more than just communication. Language is what makes you different from other human beings. Thanks to it, you can communicate with others, express who you are, your ideas, feelings, thoughts, discomforts, etc. With language you can even change the world, you can hurt a person or you can love a person. Language has many more aspects than what you might think, some of them are: language choice, code switching, language in interaction and finally language and gender.
