Today, there are many urinary disorders, but the most common one is renal calculi, also know known as kidney stones Kidney stones can be one of the most painful experiences you can have. Each year, at least three million people visit their doctor asking about the stones, and more then half a million go to the hospital. If they aren’t treated, they can lead to infections, kidney damage, or death. There are four different kinds of kidney stones, ones containing calcium being the most common. Currently, there are multiple ways of treating this disorder, some of which aren’t very comfortable. But you can avoid this by maintaining a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water

Other symptoms consist of sharp stabbing pain in the lower back that can last up to an hour. If you experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and noticed blood in your urine, then you may have a kidney stone. Some times you will have an urge to urinate and when you finally do you will feel a burning pain in the urethra.
When it comes to removing a kidney stone, it depends on the size and location of the stone. If it is less then 4mm it should be able to pass on its own, but if it is larger than 6mm there is only a 20% chance of passing involuntary. To get rid of the bigger stones treatment consists of shooting shockwaves at the particular kidney, or more drastically, surgery. After passing the kidney stone, no matter the way, your doctor can examine it to determine what type of stone it is and what can be done to prevent more from forming.
Kidney stones are very painful no matter the size of the stone. Surgery is the last option to eliminate kidney stones. If the stone does not pass spontaneously and the pain continues, a visit to the doctor is necessary. In most cases, kidney stones can be avoided by drinking lots of water to get rid waste produced by your body and by maintaining a healthy
