Simply being invited to become a member of the National Honor Society is a privilege. It’s not necessarily surprising to me that I was invited but rather gives me an exhilarating feeling. A part of me now knows that my sedulous efforts have finally paid off. Throughout my high school career so far I’ve exhibited the four pillars, which are scholarship, leadership, character, and service. This organization administers a plethora of opportunities that has an impact on the students and the lives of others especially. To be accepted into the National Honor Society would motivate me to contribute even more to not only our school but also the community.

That video seemed to build credibility at the beginning through the news room background but lost the credibility, in my eyes, through the offensive language used by multiple people in the video. Also the credibility was lost when the “news anchor” did not seem too interested in talking about the topic by saying things like “a desperate attempt”. Also one of the “witnesses” says “I’m an older man, so you can trust what I say”, to try to build his personal credibility. There is also a expert mentioned to assist the speaker to help persuade his audience while making his point. Personally, I did not find any pathos in the video, but did spot some logos. There were a couple of graphs shown, which shows a sign of fact in the video, but they didn’t help the speaker and his point because his credibility was destroyed by the language

Upon completing the Summer Research Academy (SRA) I began to look for research opportunities and found a great opportunity to work with a new professor to the school starting a new lab. At first, there was not much to do since no equipment was ordered yet and our lab to be was still occupied with an older research groups material. I took this opportunity to complete some literature reviews and get to know the research we would complete. Soon after I was tasked with ordering new equipment and setting it up for the lab. This was something I was never asked to do so I had no experience, it also did not help that some of the material cost thousands of dollars. Nonetheless, I accepted the challenge. Before this course, my writing exceeded above an average level, but now my writing has developed a sophisticated technique. This course pushed me to include higher comprehensive words into every piece I wrote. Continuously, I would be searching the internet for synonyms of verbs, adjectives, and nouns I wanted to include in my writings. This technique forced a maturity to emerge into my writing. As a writer, my options and understanding of diverse types of writing has improved immensely. We would like to congratulate your office on the first successful year of operating and maintaining Ryerson’s Student Learning Centre. When the announcement was made that Ryerson would be adding this state of the art facility to our campus we as students were ecstatic to experience a learning space which was truly unique. Although the Student Learning Centre has been extremely beneficial to all students Ryerson Students this far, we believe the space has not been used to its full potential.

The structure of DNP Semester Saturday considers microeconomics, in which my incentives for attending the 8-hours session included earning participation grade, learning new ideas, and having face to face interactions with my classmates and professors. My opportunity cost included not being able to enjoy a beautiful, warm weather witnessed in Georgia after a long time. My economic decision to attend the session directed me to discover three relevant ideas related to economics, including application of theory in a DNP project, emotional intelligence, and the multiplier effect that might have a profound impact on my personal practice world.

Its a huge honor to be nomonated for the National Junior Honor Society. I was very enthusiastic when I recived the letter. I have been wanting to get into this program since last year. It would be a honor to get accepted into this amazind organization. So with that being said I am a very helpful person. When my classmates sruggle, I take my time and help them whenever I can. People can rely on me for help and guidance because I take the right steps to achieve success. All of my teachers depend on me to get all of my work done on time and turn it in with excellence. I like to help people because I know how it feels like to struggle with the assignments.

Over the last two years at the Howard Community College, I have spent truly unforgettable moments with friends and teachers at this amazing community. Initially, I came to Howard Community College to prepare myself for the 4-year university because I was not fully ready for university level academics as I am an international student from Mongolia. Specifically, English was not my strongest subject, therefore, I had to go through the step of community college in order to be ready for 4-year university. After taking this summer class I learned a lot on how to help me improve at Luther college. Even though the NHCC professor was not the best professor I learned to still ask for help and her advice even though it wasn’t the best. Before the first test in this summer I asked the SASC department for advice for note taking and test taking. They listed a few websites and I looked at them. I used their suggestions when taking notes from my textbook. I also used outside sources for help, Kjresten helped me make note cards and practice taking tests. Her notecards helped and showed me a way to make a game out of a picture chart that I will be seeing in other classes at Luther. Now, I can use that technique to help study the graphs. At the start of this class I questioned how you could be taught business in a class setting. I truly felt that business is something that you gained knowledge through experience, on the job training, and company advancements. In the past few weeks of digging into our Intro to Business class (chapters 1-8), I feel that I actually have a better understanding of how and why things work the way they do in a business setting. I’ve had business employment experience; and I feel that I have had a few moments in the literature of this class that gave me a bit of a “aha” moment. Moments that I was able to link back to my experience and thought, now it all makes sense.

As the semester started, I had set my mind that I was destined to achieve a lot. During the start of the semester, I had several difficulties writing English assignments especially in terms of grammar.
