If you were an undocumented immigrant being pressured, hated, and discriminated against, how would you feel? Over “10 to 12 million undocumented immigrants are here in the U.S(),” and this is a major controversial topic in our society right now and for years everyone has had a different opinion on what should be done about undocumented immigrants. As for me I am for the U.S. government allowing undocumented immigrants to become U.S. citizens. Though undocumented immigrants are not supposed to be here most immigrants are law abiding, pay taxes and here to live the American dream.
Undocumented citizens have just one problem and that is that they are here without permission making them in the eyes of the people of this country law breakers. Yes

I am all for immigration, not only are immigrants trying to better their lives but are helping make more money in taxes for this country. Though some people do not agree with this as one of the cons on pro con is “there will be no special path to citizenship…rather these persons could live legally and without fear in the U.S. but only if they were willing to admit there culpability, pass rigorous background checks, pay significant fines and back taxes(Should the Government).” Most immigrants are already willing to do that, just too even get the chance to live here most would do that. Immigrants just come here to make a better life for themselves, and yes it may not be the right way but that’s the only way they can come here and get away from the bad life they had in their home country. Per pro con “what’s wrong with granting amnesty to hard working, tax paying individuals, whose only crime is their immigration status?...there are too many immigrants to do anything else(Should the Government).” This quote supports that immigrants come here to work hard, and help the country, but their status is what puts them behind in this
There are many that disagree with undocumented immigrants being in the United States because they think that most immigrants are either drug dealers, or gang members, but most of these immigrants are just here to live the “American Dream.” They are here to be able to be more than they could be in their own country. They want to be something and be able to accomplish what many of their family members could not.
the word undocumented reveals the author’s main argument which is tell the personal experience that the author had to live as undocumented immigrants coming from Mexico to the united states illegally that made them face many challenges and obstacles attempting to make their life better , and undocumented word is strongly related to the issues that the author addressed in her essay , it showed the enormous issues they have faced by following the tells of other people that is not exist , the author used this word in each paragraph in her essay . the first issue was the difficulty of getting a job with the language barrier, being undocumented prevent them from getting a license, the fears of her mom in the workforce of being pulled over
Each year thousands of mexicans cross the border illegally to find work in the united states. Most perform jobs that U.S citizens won’t do, and they pay taxes, some argue they should receive amnesty. However, opponents argue that aliens are a drain on the system and a threat to security, they should be deported. Should undocumented workers in the united states be allowed to stay? Undocumented workers in the united states should be allowed to stay in the united states. America is spending billions of dollars on different reform plans.
I believe that the US is doing a great job when apprehending undocumented people. It’s not a crime and they are not harming anyone, but they are taking away from others who work hard. Undocumented children are taking a spot from a child that legally lives in the US. Also, it is very unfair to the people who work hard to get their visa or green card. I am all about equal rights, yes I believe that everyone deserves a great life, but I do not support people stealing chances from others. The US should continue to detain those who attempt to enter the US
Oh really?? Please tell me how an undocumented immigrant can acquire this free health care. Last time I checked, you need a special number called a social security number which undocumented immigrants dont have (hence the word UNDOCUMENTED)! How could you be so ignorant? Although I do agree it is an embarrassment that veterans dont get the health care they deserve, undocumented immigrants have nothing to do with that!! How can they take advantage of the system if they live in the shadows? If anyone is taking advantage of the free healthcare, it would be the AMERICAN CITZENS that drive up to the medicaid offices in a BRAND NEW LEXUS (and yes I have seen this happen). How the hell can you afford a LEXUS and at the same time qualify for Medicaid??
No one wants to leave their country, but war, famine, and employment can cause people to migrate to find a peaceful place to stay. More than a million undocumented immigrants migrate to America every year searching for jobs and safe places for their families to stay, Because of this, every undocumented immigrant in America should be granted citizenship. The U.S government should allow the immigrants who are here illegally to become U.S citizens. Many of the undocumented immigrants do their best to assimilate, pay their taxes, and contribute to American traditions and culture. Their contributions to our country have done so much for the people, we should be honored to have them.
[Link] Well , What better opportunities do we offer that their country does not? Well first we bring them many opportunities that were not available to them in their home countries like “educational choices” and “fair justice system” (Source 2 [Yes], Number 8). For others, this opportunity for a better life serves as a second chance,[Point] people who are apart of DREAMers “can even be convicted of various crimes and have served time in an American prison.” (Source 1)[Evidence] Some immigrants come from an unjust background causing them to be involved in illegal activities such as stealing. And after learning from their mistakes they are able to join everyone else in getting a better life.[Explanation] However, opposers see this as “A path to citizenship rewards people for breaking the law.
Many people from different countries come to the US illegally. Most immigrants come here legally, and some others come the illegal way. This could be staying after visa expires, crossing the border etc. Some get caught in the process of entering the US illegally while others make it and stay living here without documentation. Many people believe that they should not be allowed to stay and here illegally because they are, to them, criminals. Others believe that they do a lot of good to this country and argue that they should be allowed to stay and legalize some of them. Throughout this paper we will discuss the pros and cons of keeping or deporting illegal immigrants and weather it is beneficial
I don’t think it would be fair to the people of the U.S. if millions of undocumented immigrants went past the border illegally and did not have to worry about getting deported. It would put unexpected strain onto our economy. If the immigrants are undocumented, then how would they pay the bills for taxes, water, and electricity? If they can’t, then they can get arrested. That could lead to someone checking their registration, and since they’re illegal immigrants, they won't have any registration. But seeing as they can’t be deported, what happens to them? Would they get sent to jail, getting free food, light, and water? Or would they be released back into their home, there for giving the impression that people can do whatever they want and get
Undocumented families face immense pressure getting accustomed to the new land. Many parents want to adhere to their traditional way of life, but due to the new atmosphere, they are forced to assimilate into the American culture with the hopes of becoming socially accepted. The striving force behind the American dream, as mentioned earlier, is to achieve a better life. To accomplish this, undocumented immigrants must be able attain a job and provide the basic needs and essentials of life for their family. In doing so, so many undocumented individuals experience harsh realities due to the lack of legal protection.
Immigrants help today’s society and continue to benefit themselves despite the threats thrown at them by our president and his people. They have been portrayed as bad people. For example, president Donald J. Trump, says that they are rapists and drug dealers. Due to these comments, many of his supporters believe they are true. Also, his reforms bring a lot of controversy within politics and other countries.
Unfortunately, there are millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States, and addressing the situation will be very time consuming and uncomfortable for many because there are some immigrants that just want the opportunity to support their
A controlled, limited, flow of physically and mentally healthy immigrants who will assimilate and are capable of contributing to America with their skills and training is a good thing. The uncontrolled invasion that has been allowed to overrun our country, threaten our culture, and burden our social systems, is a national disgrace and a threat to our security. I’m all for the equal opportunity so for the people who are against it what if your family were immigrants? Then they would not be against it right. I come from a family that is undocumented and that’s not the only reason why I want to make people understand why Non-Citizens should have the right to immigrate but because I have seen my family struggle. Families are away from each other and we can’t see each other because of the law.
Undocumented immigrants have created lives here and become part of communities, and it is not right to take that away from them. Not only is it not inhumane, but also it would hurt the economy as well since granting citizenship to undocumented workers causing the economy to grow, not stunt its growth. Even though many believe that undocumented immigrants becoming citizens will harm citizen’s jobs, this is also proven to be false because immigrants create jobs and fill the gaps of the jobs not done by natural born citizens. Undocumented immigrants also are proven to not commit as many crimes as the American counterpart, unlike many opponents’ views. By legalizing and allowing the citizenship of over 11 million people, our country can grow, not only financially in our economy, but grow as a
My opponents would counter by saying that Immigrants helped build this country and that immigrants come to America for a better life and end up investing their money here, buying houses, and opening businesses that help the economy. When addressing the fact that there are roughly 12 million illegal immigrants here and this Act could quite possibly make them all felons, many wonder where we are going to put all of these felons. Our prisons are already overpopulated and adding millions more is completely out of the question. Also, many people opposing this Act believe that if we got rid of all of the illegal immigrants that our society would quickly fall into an economic depression. They believe that they are such a vital part of our economy that we could not afford to deport them.
