Immigrating is to come to a country of which one is not a native, usually for permanent residence. It goes along with drive and determination to seek pleasure out of life, chase dreams, and purse happiness even in the most desperate of times. Migrating affects the communities that the migrants leave as well as the communities that receive them. There are many views as to why people migrate to different countries, the impact of immigration in countries, and how countries should go about regulating immigration. When discussing the ethics of immigration, it is important to view this topic from both sides and not just one side. In doing so, a person gets a sense of the bigger picture that the U.S. is currently dealing with due to immigration. With that being said, the United States should strive for an immigration policy that can benefit everyone involved as a whole.

“We should be able to refuse immigrants. There are a lot of illegal’s that are taking jobs that actual Americans need in the current economic conditions, plus they cause our taxes to go up because we have to pay for their health insurance and they might need welfare so they get all the money taken from our pay so they don’t have to work. They should have to speak English too, if I went to their country, no one would be taking care of me and making sure that I can find the bathroom, or feeding my kids with their money” (Aquino 2016).

The immigration debate in this country has grown stronger over the past few years. There are valid reasons for being in favor of allowing immigrants to enter this country. However, there are also legitimate concerns from those who oppose immigration to this country. I believe that by allowing immigrants to enter the country, it’s diversity increases and culture expands. It gives struggling people from all over the world an opportunity to a better life. This country was built by immigrants who sought opportunity, political & religious freedom, etc. Some of the most intelligent and ambitious individuals, who are unsatisfied with their own countries, bring their skills to America.

In the past immigration laws and immigration itself has had some flaws but really is a good thing for the U.S. First off the agriculture rise that has happened over the years. Immigrants help the agricultural rise because most immigrants when they migrate look only towards the agriculture work which includes field work and stock animal work. These immigrants are needed for our everyday agricultural needs. According to (Ed Studdord) if all Illegal immigrants were to go back tomorrow to wherever they came from everything we know that is agriculture will collapse instantly. The biggest pro of immigration in history is the low wage workers. These low wage workers in the past till now have helped balance the economy a lil more. Now 52 of every 100 migrant workers have illegal status and yet they are hardworking.

Since the start of our country, America has been known as a land of immigrants, a melting pot of different cultures and ethnicities working towards the American motto of the land of the free, home of the brave. Since colonial times, immigrants have been an integral part of society, majorly contributing to U.S culture and economy, yet many Americans have always had very conflicting ideas on immigration. Many people look past the benefits immigrants bring to our economy and society and instead scapegoat them for many of the United States’ problems surrounding unemployment and budget. The positive effects of immigrants, both legal and undocumented, in our country far outweighs the negative effects because of their important impact on society and the economic help that American relies on.

Imagine putting yourself in the shoes of an illegal immigrant. You have to feed your family, get money to pay the rent, and prevent getting caught from immigration authorities. The consequences for getting caught could include deportation or serving time in jail. 11 million undocumented immigrants currently live in the United States and have a family to take care of. Families caught under pressure in their own country might not have a choice but to enter a country illegally. Others would say that immigration laws should not let illegal immigrants into the US regardless of the circumstances, but these Immigration laws are unorganized and broken because millions of undocumented

Immigration has been a hot topic for not only President’s Trump first 100 days in office, but also became a hot topic during the presidential campaign leading up to the election. There are a multitude of different debates that fall under the immigration category, but an issue that should be discussed in the national discourse by engaging citizens is the legalization and granting of citizenship to undocumented immigrants living in the United States. Even though it is heavily debated, undocumented immigrants should be granted the legal right to become U.S. citizens. A poll done by CNN in March states that “71% of people believe that the government should not attempt to deport all people current living in the country illegally” (Kopan, 1) compared to only “27% that believe illegal immigrants should be deported” by the same poll. This is key in the discussion being debated that undocumented immigrants should be legal citizens of the United States.

Every year close to a million people seek to come to the United States, some do so through legal routes, and others get here without alerting any officials. I believe that immigration is a good thing. Native Americans should be the only ones allowed to say anything negative about immigration. The rest of us might as well be illegal immigrants when compared to them. We wrote the laws once we got here so now we are as good as legal residents, but this is a whole different story. Congress should pass comprehensive immigration reform.

Have you ever thought about moving to a better place so you can live your life to the fullest and pursue your dream of becoming something? Maybe New York to be a model or a fashion designer, or California to live out your dream of being an A-list celebrity. To an immigrant, coming to America is tantamount to that of Americans trying to live a better life in one of these well-developed places. Illegal immigrants should be permitted to stay but, only through extensive security screening. Allowing immigrants to stay can be advantageous to our country in many ways. Allowing immigrants to stay in our country would be acceptable but only in the direst of situations.

This has been a ongoing problem in America for quite sometime now, It’s a problem that is being widely addressed by people like our very own president of the United States. It’s been an outrage to many people in our country. If you haven't guessed by now, the problem im referring to is illegal immigration and undocumented people coming into our country trying to become citizens. The reason that is a bad idea is because first off we don't know anything about these people sense they have no information about themself. Second because they can cause serious damage to our country. And lastly because they potentially ruin the us economy. The United States is built off of immigration with the influxes of immigrants from all around the world. Immigrants come all the way from germany to across the pacific ocean. Immigrants have also came here for the reason that they heard there is better jobs and a more luxurious lifestyle.
