1. My U.S. Representative is Devin Nunes. Nunes belongs to the Republican party, and has served in the House of Representatives since 2003. Nunes is 43 years old and is chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as a member of the Ways and Means Committee. He authored and published Restoring The Republic in 2010. Nunes graduated from Cal Poly, receiving a bachelor’s in agricultural business and a master’s in agriculture. At the age of 23, he was elected to public office as one of California’s youngest community college trustees. She was the first woman to hold the position of chairman in the committee. She is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and ranking member of the Subcommittee on Energy and Water. She is a member of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and was the first woman to chair the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. The committee has exclusive jurisdiction for defense policy, ongoing military operations, the organizations of the DOD and DOE, counter-drug programs, joint interoperability, and detainee affairs and policy. The subcommittees include: Emerging Threats and Capabilities, Military Personnel, Oversight and Investigations, Readiness, Sea Power and Projection Forces, Strategic Forces, and Tactical Air and Land Forces. 4.
