Tupac Shakur’s life on paper The life of Tupac Shakur was eventful and not normal per say, because he had so many events happen in such a short life he lived. In the beginning he had a hard home life, with a single mother being the only one to raise him. He eventually was discovered as a rapper and then his life started becoming less of a money struggle and more of a power struggle. He fell in and out of love with multiple women and was not able to have the children he wanted. He was signed to a record company that got him out of jail, that changed his life, and is suspected to have played a part in his death. He lived a short life, but a life filled that was memorable and filled with struggles and greed. Maybe it is by the hardcore gangster and obscene rap lyrics directed towards people, more so aimed towards his east coast rivals. As years went on, more and more people viewed a handful of Tupac’s music as a true work of art, containing strong messages along with stories from his troubled childhood and young adulthood. Over the next five years, Tupac enjoyed a lot of success in both the rap industry and as an actor. He released four more albums including raps first ever double CD, all going multiple platinum. He also acted in three movies earning high remarks from directors and actors. However, for the first half of this successful solo career, Tupac continued to go further off track. He was arrested several times over the next three years, but was acquitted of every crime. In 1993, he was arrested for the last time, but while on trial, he was shot five times during an alleged robbery. Tupac underwent surgery and checked himself out of the hospital two hours after that. Tupac was still on trial however, and this time earned a four and a half year sentence on February 14, 1995. During April of that year, Tupac conducted an interview with Vibe magazine, in which he renounced the life that he had been living and promised to do nothing but positive works from then on. On October of 95, record company CEO signed Tupac to a record deal and then posted bond for Tupac. Tupac immediately began work on what would be his last album, All Eyez On Me, which was released on February 13, 1996. Tupac also began to live up to his promise that he made in prison, performing many charitable acts and staying away from the things that had previously gotten him into trouble. Others who were spectators in the crowd were also injured in the shooting to cause the crowd to panic so that there would be a diversion and the shooters could get away. Hagan being one of the shooters was the only man spotted by police as he fired his gun at Malcolm and was found with the same kind of ammunition in his pocket that was shot into the now dead Malcolm X, incriminating Hagan. Muhammad Abdul Aziz and Kahlil Islam were also arrested then later freed when Hagan admitted to the shooting and incriminated two others who he had known were involved in the murder, clearing the names of the two falsely imprisoned

Tupac Amaru Shakur was a very influential person who overcame many difficulties. Tupac was a rapper of truth that spoke about the things that go on in the “Hood” and the unjust police. He was treated differently because he was black and was even arrested for jaywalking. After he was arrested he was beaten by the cops who wanted him to “learn his place”(Joseph 29). This shows how bad Tupac had it because he was African American. Tupac died an early death at 25 because of a brewing rivalry between the East and West Coast rappers.
