The World War I was one of the most deadly and destructive conflicts in human history. Due to the increased use of pictures, literature and media accounts, much of the world gained insight into the “truth” about the atrocities of modern war. Truth is the state of facts, reality and accuracy. In the Emmy-Award movie “All Quiet on the Western Front” demonstrates various scenes where the characters experience truths and lies about the war, and how it affects them. One of the truths shown is that anyone who goes to the dying room doesn’t come back. Everyone tells the patients that everything is going fine and they will be alright.However, once they are seen getting worse or not healing the nun takes the patient’s clothes off and remove them from the bed.They all know what it means to be sent to the dying room.Paul and Albert don’t want to face the truth about dying room. Paul starts yelling at the nun and others, who were removing someone and sending him to the dying room, why they were taking his tunic. Once they were gone Paul and Albert react in an inane manner.
