Throughout the years leadership has been defined in a number of different ways and it is described and implemented in many more. At times there is this perspective in the minds of many, that it takes a particular type of human breed to become an impactful and influential leader. On the contrary, I believe that the focus of leadership should transfer from the transcendental impacts of leadership and focus more on the small individual tasks and decisions, which lead to the transcendental impact. If the focus is altered to more minute actions, leadership will stop being perceived as a level only few can reach and it will begin to be seen as an act, which anyone can utilize on a daily basis. From him I learned that sometimes the best role a leader can take is one where they give instruction to lay the groundwork, but leave a level of ambiguity to challenge the follower to figure it out. Once the groundwork is laid, the leaders role is to take a step back and observe the follower work, allowing them to struggle and make mistakes along the way. While the leader is fulfilling this role, their responsibility is to be

prepared when assistance is asked for. After this, best role a leader can take is one of a coach, thus teaching their follower where to make improvements, as well as sometimes needing to demonstrate how to properly complete a task. After the task is completed or the goal is fulfilled, it is imperative for the leader to complete their last responsibility, which is training their follower to reflect on their experience so they are able to further dissect their performance and supplement their
