Global warming represents an immense threat to our planet. But first off, what is global warming? It is the significant increase in the Earth’s temperature over a short period time as a result of human activity. A congruous mix of organisms, people, and environments are being harmed by its effects. Ocean levels have risen, species are have become extinct, and the world is not what it used to be. This is a large risk for the earth, and the outcomes will be enormous, causing illnesses and financial decay. Because of global warming, many are beginning to invest in energy-efficient supplies and do a variety of other acts. For example, carbon dioxide is causing a warming impact on the world's surface. Since water vapor itself is an ozone damaging substance, this causes significant additional warming. Then, the warming causes more water vapor to be vanished. Different petroleum gases, for instance, C02, Sulfur, CFCs, and Methane also hurt the Earth. Industrialization, urbanization, and deforestation additionally expand and add on to the cause of global warming. Giving the deforestation example above, it will be elaborated. Deforestation in tropical rainforests causes a vast amount of carbon dioxide to be released into the atmosphere. In fact, the amount of carbon dioxide that is being released is a larger number than the sum of cars and trucks on the road. Cars and trucks come up to 14%, while deforestation comes up to 15%. The reason that logging in very damaging
Indeed, if we accept the danger of global warming to be a real and present one, then the question of how to address it must be given serious consideration. Research conducted from as early as the 1950s through the present has afforded us a solid understanding of its causes. In the most basic sense, the problem lies in the burning of carbon-based fossil fuels such as carbon and oil which leads to the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2). Gases such as CO2 are referred to as greenhouse gases (GHGs) which accumulate in the atmosphere. GHGs can
Global warming is and has been known as one of the largest and most challenging problems that pertains to the environment today. Around the world many are experiencing negative impacts on the daily, those from farmers to those living in more forest like environments. As the ecosystem becomes more and more devastated, awareness and prevention of climate change has never been more important. Many people doubt the existence of global warming, however its is clearly evident through the intensification of heat waves and the melting of ice caps.
There is one main problem every human is facing today. The worst part is, the humans are the ones causing the problem. Global warming is a main concern that is affecting both humans and animals today, and is a cause for concern for the safety of the futures generations. Global warming is considered to be the gradual increase in temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere. There have been examples of the negative consequences demonstrated by the issue of global warming already. People may not know how this issue is already affecting them today, but it is. There are many factors that are responsible for the cause of global warming. There are also many inventions and innovations made to fight against global warming. Being aware of how global warming is caused, what the consequences of global warming are, and how to prevent global warming, can really help save the environment and make Earth a safer place.
Global warming is, in essence, the gradual rising of temperatures in the Earth’s atmosphere. As global warming increases, temperatures become higher; mostly in the Earth’s oceans, which can have devastating effects on the Earth’s ecosystem (Weart, 2004). Global warming in when “the Earth's atmosphere is overloaded with heat-trapping carbon dioxide, which threatens large-scale disruptions in climate with disastrous consequences” (nrdc.org, 2014). Global warming has become a prevalent issue as of late, given our increased acknowledgement of our own complicity and role in the dramatic increase in global warming in recent years. Global warming can happen for a
For decades, scientists have been warning world governments about the threat that global warming poses to life on Earth. The scientists have raised the alarm numerous times, even as the effects become noticeable today. But why then, as the effects of global warming are becoming more obvious as time passes, have countries like the US, Australia, and Canada done nothing to address the problem? As Kiribati, the Solomon Islands, Fiji, and other pacific island nations sink due to rising seas perpetuated by global warming, these countries have been accelerating the demise of these small island nations by not only refusing to address the problem of climate change, but by throwing gasoline at the fire as they embrace dirtier sources of fossil fuels. The answer to why there’s inaction on global warming lies on the internal situation of these nations, which have similar things in common, such as concern that taking action to mitigate global warming would have devastating effects on their respective country’s economies, but most importantly, because of the lack of interest by the public to deal with the problem, which is only being worsened by a disinformation campaign being led by fossil fuels companies.
“The era of procrastination, of half measures, of soothing and baffling expedients of delay are coming to a close. In its place, we are entering a period of consequences.” Winston Churchill (ND). When I say Global Warming, what sort of idea comes in your mind? When I think about it, all that comes in my mind is the end of our precious world. Well, that is only the researchers’ thoughts about it. Nevertheless, what is Global Warming? Global Warming is the increase of the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans. Global Warming is cause by the Greenhouse Gases that will lead to Climate Change, which we are experiencing right now.
Global warming is the constant increase of temperature in the earth’s atmosphere that is caused by the increase of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, greenhouse gases and many other pollutants. Chlorofluorocarbons are any type of compounds of carbon, hydrogen, chlorine, and fluorine which are harmful to the ozone layer. Global warming can affect many things, one example is the rising of temperature which can result in different types of disasters like storms, heat waves, floods, and droughts. Global warming also causes Higher death rates, Dirtier air, Higher wildlife extinction rates, the increase of Acidic Oceans, and Higher seas levels. In this essay, I will provide information that will show how harmful global warming can be to not only the earth but to humans and animals, and what we can do to prevent it from increasing.
Global warming is causing health and safety problems to humans and species worldwide because of its effects such as; heat waves, drought, flood, storms, and sea level rises. It is important to fight global warming because if we don't all of these effects can kill us. The article “Global Warming Caused by Air Pollution will Harm Human Health,” informed that in Chicago 1995, 514 people’s death was related to heat (Patz). When there are heatwaves, there is a high chance people can experience heat stroke and heat exhaustion. It will be harder to grow food in areas that are in droughts. If the whole world is in a drought, we can go onto famine
Global warming is a big problem. An increase in water temperature can result in the death of many aquatic organisms and disrupt many marine habitats. Global warming is a process where the average global temperature increases due to the greenhouse effect. The burning of fossil fuel releases greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere. This causes heat from the sun to get ‘trapped’ in the Earth’s atmosphere and consequently the global temperature rises.
As we all know, our planet is at risk of becoming a victim of global warming. Every day that risk increases due to the number of inefficient methods of creating electricity, which produce massive amounts of carbon gas. This carbon gas is released into the atmosphere and some of it remains in the atmosphere due to the effect of greenhouse gases. The collection of gases in the atmosphere gradually leads up to the heating up of the entire planet which will most likely cause the rise of sea levels, causing coastal cities and communities to be submerged underwater.
The phenomenon of global warming has become a great debate in our current society. Since the Industrial Era, the proliferation of steam powered engines, factories, and oil industries became incredible breakthroughs that stimulated the economy and evidently revolutionized the kind of world we live in today. With that being said, there are negative consequences that have built up from these inventions. The levels of greenhouse gases have increased exponentially since the 1800s. The rise of global temperatures affect sea levels, the habitats of millions of animals, and most importantly human life. As evidence becomes clearer about global warming, the concern shown by scientists, politicians, and the citizens of the world is moreover increasing. Global Warming is a phenomenon that is real and noticeable. Without proper initiatives and procedures, the generations that follow are going to have a tremendous burden.
Global warming became a danger to our planet since the past few years due to several reasons. We always hear that global warming has become a serious problem and a danger to our planet. But do we really know what the global warming is? Or how does it happen or what is the side effects of global warming? Or how can we prevent or reduce it and save our planet? Global warming happens due to several reasons. Whether they are human actions such as emissions that occur from fossil fuel burning, or methane emissions from animals, agriculture and from burning gasoline for transportation. There are also ways to reduce the global warming and save our plant, such as; increase using technologies that use low or zero carbon, managing and taking care of forests and agriculture, and boosting energy efficient which means using energy more properly.
Global warming is an increasing concern that people have to worry about everyday. Global warming is the overall rise in temperature in the atmosphere due to the increase in carbon dioxide (CO2). The CO2 acts as a cover and keeps all the heat on the earth, which is warming the planet to extensive amounts. When people burn fuels like coal and natural gas they release carbon into the earth and the carbon just keeps building up over time. Energy supply represents a big chunk of the problem for global warming. Forestry and the industry business also have a big influence on the global warming problem. The carbon that the people put in the atmosphere is going to help determine what will happen to future generations, and the climate of the future (climate hot weather 1).
Global warming has been affecting the Earth temperature for many years, caused mainly by greenhouse gases emissions from burning fuel that is used for generating power, operating vehicles, running factories and other industrial activities, all of which are human-caused and controlled, however one cannot simply live without. All of this has endangered the environment, including a tremendous rise in Earth temperature, many species becoming extinct, arctic ice melting on a rapid pace, sea levels rising dramatically, endangering people living in coastal areas, and causing many respiratory diseases to people. The entire world is seriously paying attention to these facts and investigating methods to mitigate the dangers of global warming.
Global warming is an international disaster. Its effects and control have dominated virtually all facets of modern human life. It is not uncommon to find even groceries listing themselves as being “eco-friendly” in a bid to attract the environmentally conscious customer. The effects of global warming are not just about blowing hot air in the pursuit of delivering chilling information. This phenomenon has devastating consequences for all, regardless of geographical location. One of the most commonly known effects is the heating up of the atmosphere. Scientists have shown that there is a direct correlation between the increase in carbon dioxide levels and an increase in the temperature of the earth. As a result, warmest years since 1992 have been experienced in recent years according to the IPCC report (2007). Global warming has various devastating effects on life sources such as plants, animals, food sources and climate change.
