Thomas Heywood was a famous writer, poet, and during the seventeenth century, Heywood was an active play writer during the Renaissance period. He wrote almost two hundred plays, including the most famous translation of Ovid’s Ars amatoria. Thomas Heywood was born in Lincolnshire County in 1573; Heywood died 1575. Although play writers, were not giving credit or recognized for their work, Heywood during 1600, was a member of the Worcester’s theatrical company. He produced an average of one or more plays each month. He developed a reputation working at both Lord of Admiral’s and Worcester’s company, as a modern comedy play writer, he also wrote the different type of plays.
