Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt was the president of the United States during the time of 1901 to 1909. He was vice president during William McKinley’s term. When McKinley was assassinated in 1901 by Leon Czolgosz, Roosevelt had to step up. He was a Republican, but his foundations were more progressive. This plays a part in why he did not get the Republican nomination in the year 1912. He lost the nomination to his handpicked successor Taft, who had run as president in the previous term (1909-1913). When he did not get the nomination, Roosevelt decided to run as a third party which he called the bull moose party. By doing this, it splits the Republican vote between Taft and Roosevelt. This has a large effect on the election, causing the Democrat Woodrow Wilson to become president. Woodrow Wilson was president from 1913 to 1921 with World War I happening in 1914. Wilson declared neutrality. Because of this, some people ask, “What if Theodore Roosevelt has been president during World War I?” In the article, “The Election of Theodore Roosevelt, 1912” by John Lukacs, he writes about an alternate universe of sorts where Roosevelt wins the Republican nomination and the presidential election of 1912. We've had many great presidents over the years ,But teddy Roosevelt stood out to me. He was our 26th president, He was the youngest president (42 when he entered office), He was in office from 1901-1909 ,. In 1906 He was the first american to receive the noble peace prize for ending the Russo-Japanese war. He was a very conservative person he wouldn't kill a black bear and the inspired Morris Mitchom to Create the teddy bear.

When thinking about the numerous, dynamic leaders that America has had over the course of the nation’s history, it can become troublesome to fairly compare these respective heads of state. Though each American president has unquestionably left their own unique legacy from their time in office, when comparing leaders from similar times, certain consistencies can present themselves. While the Presidency is of course beholden to constructs of political normativity subjective to the era they presided in, by choosing two POTUS’ from the same era, we can more adequately synthesize comparable actions and philosophies between the two. To this end, we will analyze the terms of Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, cutting through narratives of their tenures to truly delineate their comparability. Through a comprehensive analysis of these two leaders on the subjects of foreign policy, we begin to parse out many similarities and differences between these two early 20th century leaders.

Theodore Roosevelt Jr was the United States 26th president. He was in office from September 14th,1901 till March 4th,1909. He was the youngest president of the united states at the age of 42 due to the unexpected death of the previous president William McKinley. He was famous and well respected for ending wars and regulating corpral monopolies. He was elected a second term in 1904 and was considered to be one of the best presidents of the United States.

United States National Parks are a beautiful way to preserve American history along with nature's marvels. This year they received an astonishing 307.2 million visitors. One of these such parks is Theodore Rosevelt National Park. In September 1883, Theodore Roosevelt went to the North Dakota Badlands to hunt buffalo and invested $14,0000 in the Maltese Cross Ranch. When he was there, he "fell in love with the rugged lifestyle and perfect freedom of the West."

I believe that Theodore Roosevelt has had a significant impact on American society for multiple reasons. First, he saved the sport of football from being outlawed in the U.S. Second, he started the largest environmental conservation program which set aside thousands of acres of land that have now become hundreds of national parks including the Grand Canyon. Finally, he defended America during the Spanish American War.

Theodore was 39-years old when he resigned his position as an assistant secretary of the Navy in order to take over the first Volunteer Cavalry Regiment, with the help of Leonard Wood to begin moving into the authority of Spanish from Cuba. With an anxiety for war and being worried the ship wouldn’t leave soon enough before his men ruined their livers with a surplus of alcohol, Theodore focused on studying Florida’s botany to distract his mind.

Throughout the ages there have been many great leaders. These leaders are powerful in many ways, with a strong control over the people, and a place in history. But who would have guessed that two cousins would be some of the greatest government figures ever? Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Theodore Roosevelt, both American presidents, both American Heroes. As the 26th president of the United States and also the youngest president ever elected, Theodore Roosevelt faced many challenging decisions, but he knew how to handle them. He fought for what he believed and never backed down from that belief. Theodore Roosevelt faced challenging circumstances while growing up which made many consider him to be frail and not likely to succeed; however, he came to be known as a notable statesman, military leader, governor, vice-president of the United States, and finally the most powerful leader in the free world, President of the United States of America.

When the term “progressive era” is brought up, many people may think of the social reformers such as Ida Tarbell, Jacob Riis, Jane Addams, and Upton Sinclair. They might not think of the Presidents that were in the White House during that time who included Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. During the Progressive Era, Americans were looking for social, political, and economic reform after industrialization and urbanization. While all of the president's worked to correct problems during the Progressive Era, Theodore Roosevelt was the most progressive president because he fought for the reform of businesses, worker’s rights, and conservation of natural resources.

It is President Theodore Roosevelt’s address to the Seventh Annual Message to Congress which took place on December 3, 1907.

Americans have become used to politicians who will not go against their party’s line. Instead of having numerous free thinking elected officials who come together to ensure the welfare of society, we have two parties that control almost everything. This was not how Theodore Roosevelt led our country. He was a visionary and ethical leader. This paper explains why by describing Theodore Roosevelt’s use of visionary leadership to protect America’s natural resources by being an emotionally flexible leader and using his inspirational motivation. Theodore Roosevelt was an Ethical Leader because he put service before self by resigning from the position of Assistant Secretary of the Navy to fight in the Spanish American War and was a free thinker who went against his party to protect the welfare of society. Theodore Roosevelt has personal relevance in my development as a leader by modeling service before self and allowing me to see how I can improve my inspirational motivation. In order to understand Theodore Roosevelt as a leader, you should first know the impact of his visionary leadership.
