In the short story All Summer in A Day by Ray Bradbury, is about how jealousy can lead to inaccurate assumptions and reveals that, assuming false information may lead to an action you would later regret. In the other paragraphs, it furthermore explains why that is the best thesis of this short story. Also, in current day, jealousy can lead to crime, and bad actions that you wouldn’t do otherwise. It also leads to denial, and not wanting to believe something that’s true. In the story, it tells you how a little girl, Margot, had moved from Earth to Venus when she was only 4 years old, and remembered seeing the sun. In a part of the story, Margot reads a beautiful poem that she wrote to the class. However, the boys in her class didn’t believe her and gave her a hard time. This piece of the story explains why jealousy can make you have false assumptions. Furthermore, the boys in her class assumed that she didn’t write the beautiful poem about the sun. However, Margot spent lots of effort, time, and detail in, of the poem that day. …show more content…

Other good fits for the theme is regret, bullying, and beauty. Margot’s classmates overpowered her, shoving her into a closet, while they danced in the sunlight, leaving Margot in a dark closet. Her classmates finished their dance, only to remember about Margot left in the closet where they left her for an hour. Slowly, regret filled the air as if it was smoke. Also, the boys in Margot’s class kept shoving her every day, bullying her. Lastly, the flowers, sun, and nature are a large part of the story, pointing out beauty is a large part of the story. However, universally jealousy is the best theme for this
