All summer in a day teaches us that jealousy can make someone do something that they probably wouldn't do normally. For example when the boy pushes megan and bullies her and pushes her into the the closet and hurts her not just physically but mentally as well by telling her no one like you or we are not gonna let u look at the sun .A possible counter for this is that she did seem to boast about how she's seen the sun more than they have. Some more evidence was that. When she said that she got to see the sun two times apart from all the other classmates one time of seeing the sun they all got really mad they pushed her into a closet and locked it while they go outside with the rest of the class and play in the nice warm sun strange thing
All Summer In Day by Ray Bradbury shows the reader that jealousy can lead a person to do cruel and mean things to classmates and peers. Kids didn’t believe and criticized her and judged her. No one believed she wrote a poem and when she described the sun no one believed her. One arguments someone could make is that desire could be a larger theme than jealousy. This isn't true because the kids got jealous of Margot and then desired, they can’t desire because they have never seen the sun. Margot was also mistreated by classmates. She was shoved and locked away in a closet. Jealousy can make people do man and cruel things to classmates and peers.
Never underestimate the power of jealousy. Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden is a novel in which two young native boys join the war. Although jealousy should not be a problem that is faced during one’s darkest moments in life, it is indeed an issue that occurs and Joseph Boyden’s Three Day Road proves this.
Jealousy makes us see a blinding red . Jealousy is described in the two stories “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut, and “All Summer In a Day” by Ray Bradbury. The story “Harrison Bergeron” is about the society wanting everyone to be the same so there is no room for jealousy, and “All Summer In a Day” is about a nine year old girl named Margot that argues with her classmates that the sun comes out every seven years. The moral of the two stories is that jealousy can blind you.
Greed and or Jealousy can lead to bad actions, choices and results. It can happen to one person or multiple people no matter what age they are. This is shown in three stories, “Ponies” written by Kij Johnson, “All Summer in a Day” written by Ray Bradbury and in “Harrison Bergeron” written by Kurt Vonnegut. In “Ponies” there are a group of girls who invited one to a “cutting-out” party. Where a pony picks two of the three thing she has to be cut off for her and her owner to join the club. In “All Summer in a Day,” the girl, Margot knows about the sun while the rest of the kids do not know about the sun - or they do not remember it. Last, in “Harrison Bergeron,” the government forced people to be equal making them wear things they called “handicaps.” In all of these stories it shows how greed and or jealousy can lead to bad actions, choices and results.

The story “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury, talks about a girl, Margot, that has moved to Venus from Earth, when she was four years old. In the short story, the young girl goes through hard times, because she is different, from another planet. The major difference between her and her classmates, is the fact that she, coming from earth, has seen the sun. On the other hand, the kids on Venus have no remembering of the sun, . Often, they also bully her physically and emotionally, just because she has seen something that they haven’t, and they start to feel jealousy towards her. In the short story, All Summer in a Day, Ray Bradbury presents how jealousy can be controlling and shows readers what repercussions can arise if one acts on their envy. A little girl named Margot is living on the planet Venus with a small civilization, and there is no sun. The children mostly came to Venus at age two, whereas Margot came when she was four. So she can remember the sun. For this, they are very jealous of her. Margot shares her memories and the kids are upset they won’t ever feel what she felt. Therefore, one thing leads to another and their jealousy controls them. This causes them to do stuff that one would probably never do if it weren’t for the green-eyed monster. Their actions would soon teach them how can harm others and, inadvertently, themselves.
All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury shows that jealousy can cause people to hurt or be cruel to the people that they are jealous of. Sometimes the people who are jealous don’t even realize until after the event that they have hurt someone else, just because they are jealous. This idea is the main theme throughout the short story. The first example in All Summer in a Day occurs when the boy William shoves Margot. William shoved Margot because she had previously described the sun, and no one believed her.

When a person first thinks of murder, envy probably is not their second thought, but it should be their third. Statistically speaking, jealousy ranks number three in the most common motives for manslaughter. So although it may seem like a simple enough emotion, many feelings coincide. To most, it is a stressful and unwanted inner conflict that can cause or further aggravate thoughts of insecurity and inadequacy. Also, apparently, violence-inducing rage.
My theme would be jealousy. I believe Abigail shows traits of jealousy because she is angry at Elizabeth for taking her reputation away. She is an unmarried girl who is an orphan who wants to get revenge on Elizabeth. Abigail was the Proctors Servant who had an affair with John, so Elizabeth fired her and that's when all the jealousy began.

Margot knows what it is like to have the sun shining down on her skin, she knows what it is like to feel the warm embrace of the sky.
