Being intentionally simple, repetitive, self-promoting, and self-prophesizing worked to get Donald Trump elected President of the United States. To win the respect they long for and deserve as well as open the eyes of the public to the current plight of public education in the United States, it would be wise for public school educators to draw on the Trump formula. If teachers and school administrators used the formula relentlessly to get their message across, there is no reason why it shouldn’t work for them as well.

Donald Trump is not doing good as president. Some may still believe he is doing good for our country, but the facts will change their opinion. This argument can be proved based on the facts that are in the news everyday. The news shows articles about him firing multiple people in the white house, his insensitive attitude to important things happening in our country, and him degrading women. People are not happy with Donald Trump’s presidency, and the hatred for Trump continues to grow by his actions.

Obama campaigned on the idea of change, which represented a regeneration of America through domestic public policy reform and a return to multilateralism in foreign policy. Both domestic and international publics and elites were galvanized by Obama’s message.

I am glad that Donald Trump has become the President of the United States, and have reasoning for it. First of all, he won the Electoral College. Many people seem to think that because Hillary Clinton got the popular vote. I feel that this is very weak evidence, because the 12th amendment states, “The Twelfth Amendment (Amendment XII) to the United States Constitution provides the procedure for electing the President and Vice President”. So saying that she won the popular vote doesn’t solve anything, because a whole amendment debunks that. Another reason I have is that even though Clinton has had more experience, that does not make her more fitting. People may believe that President Trump will be somewhat of a war hawk when it comes to maintaining or even growing the United States nuclear arsenal. Is it ethical for Donald Trump to publicly disrespect certain Americans during national televised speeches as well as on social media? Before this dilemma can be approached something important must be taken into consideration. A person’s virtues, which is the behavior showing high moral standards. A virtue can be defined as many things. “A virtuous person manifests and acts on the characteristics that mark one as a person of character and integrity” (Svara, 49). Looking at the issue at hand from a virtue based approach can cause various opinions on what is considered right/wrong or ethical/unethical. A virtuous person does not concern themselves with rules in making ethical decisions but instead try to make decisions that are steady with the pursuit of a particular kind of greatness that entails utilizing sound moral judgment guided by virtues like self-control, honesty and caring.
President Trump has been attacking NFL players who have protested against oppression of people of color by kneeling during the National Anthem. In doing this, he has been suppressing the natural rights of the NFL and its players. The Declaration of Independence states, “... they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” (Jefferson 1). Natural Rights are given to everyone at birth and cannot be taken away. Henceforth, the president has been restraining the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness from the NFL.

Teachers shape the minds of students to realize what their purpose is in life. Lately, because of certain educational reforms, it has been hard for teachers to say what they need to say. “In 40-plus states, the math and English guidelines determine the knowledge students have to master by the end of each grade, what they’ll be tested on this year, and in many cases, how teachers and principals will be rated at their jobs once those test scores are released” (Strauss). Most educational reforms are adopting standardized testing and should be reconsidered. Statistics even show that since we have taken part in reforms like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core State Standards math and reading are declining. These standards tell teachers what to teach and what the students should know by the end of the school year. The reforms also evaluate teacher performance by how well the students learn the information. Some people believe educational reforms should not be telling teachers how to teach their students, and others believe that the reforms are absolutely fine the way they are. However the truth is educational reforms are yet to be perfected.
