The outsiders book and movie are both dangerously amazing! They have a few differences but for the most part they're pretty similar. You may not think they're that different but they are in some ways.
Both have similarities. An example is how Johnny still dies. The Socs still run at the rumble. They still eat cake for breakfast .Dally still died. The church still burnt down.
The movie and book are different too. A difference in the movie 4 Socs drowned pony.In the book 1 Soc drowns him. When they were at the park in the book the Soc (bob) drowneds pony .In the movie at the park 4 socs drown ponyboy. There are more than that difference.
Another difference is pony asked a farmer were the church is in the book.Although in the movie he doesn't ask
At the beginning of the book it starts with explaining his life now and then transitions into his life as a child. In the movie it starts out with him as a kid and does not revert to his grown self at all. Thats a big part in the book because it starts with him getting a new dog and the dog reminding him of his first two hunting
The first difference that caught my eye was how there was no cat, in the book there was a cat named, Sammie, and Sammie always got stuck in one of Billy’s traps. But in the movie
The “Outsiders” movie and novel are very different and similar. The book and the movie have some similarities. After really comparing the two there was a lot of differences.
The novel has more detail than the movie because in the novel it showed more of the characters backstories it doesnt talk about Ponyboy’s school or about Dally’s past life was like before he moved and how Johnny got beat up by the Soc while the movie skipped all of that. Another is that in the novel you can hear the character’s thoughts you could hear what Ponyboy was thinking throughout the whole story and because the novel was in first person and the movie was in third person so you couldn't really hear what the character was thinking in the movie.
In the book miles take the bars down. But in the movie winnie gets miles out of jail. In the book miles and jesse kidnapped winnie. but in the movie it was just miles. In the book the horses got stolen. But in the movie the horses didn’t get stolen.
In the book “The Outsiders” there is more detail and the plot seems to go at a slower pace than the movie. The greasers are from the west side of town while
The book and the movie of the Outsiders are two very different stories. The book has so much more detail then the movie. The movie is not the most detailed but it does get its point across. There are may similarities and also many differences between the two the book is by far more interesting and more detailed then the movie. I enjoyed the book a lot and the movies a lot but the movie was missing a lot.
II. Similarities (stick with at least four)- In the movie and book Ponyboy gets along with his brother sodapop very well they stick up with each other. The movie and the book are both named the outsiders. In both movie and novel the Greasers and socs have a fight the Greasers won the fight. Also when ponyboy and johnny got jumped by A soc ANd they killed him after they ran off into
In english are class read a book called The Outsiders, then we watched the movie and did wrote about what was different, these are a couple of the differences i found out. Darry Ponyboy's brother in the book and movie seems a whole lot meaner to Pony in the book. Early in the book Ponyboy gives descriptions about all of his friends and his two brothers, but in the movie their hairstyles are different. In the book and movie Ponyboy and his two friend Two Bit and Johnny go to a movie and in the book they were in an inside theater but the movie shows they were outside. Ponyboy had also said in the book there was no one there besides them and two other girls but there were a couple others there too. Johnny Ponyboy's friend is shorter than him in the movie but in the book Pony said he was the shortest.
Here are some differences with the characters. Meg one of the main character's in the book has glasses and braces, but in the movie she doesn't have braces or glasses. Another main character is Charles-Walace and in the book he is five, doesn't go to school, and can't read, but in the movie he is six go's to school, and can read well. These are the differences
To begin, the first difference I observed between the book and movie is that the movie has a different opening scene than the book. The movie starts out with Ponyboy writing in a composition notebook on a page titled “The Outsiders.” In the book the beginning scene is Pony boy walking
The book and the film were both simular, and yet different in many ways. An example would be, in the film, Ponyboy was walking to the drive-in and meeting Cherri and Marcia. Although in the book, Ponyboy began his journey by telling the readers about his experience about being jumped by the Socs and being threatened. The director probably had some options to pick from to leave out from the movie, and the director chosed this to leave out. Leaving out the part where Ponyboy was jumped was an effective move because without the experience Ponyboy was lost and helpless because he did not know what to do when he and Johnny got cornered in the park by Bob and other Socs.
The Outsiders is a book that was published in 1967 and the movie was released in 1983. The Outsiders has two main “groups” of people in the story, Outsiders and Socs. Socs are the rich kids with fancy mustangs and Greasers are the “hood” type that have each other's backs. In this adventure a kid named Ponyboy gets himself into a huge mess when his friend Johnny took things way too far by killing a Soc. I think that the book is better than the movie because the book gives better detail and descriptions, you can feel and understand emotion, and you can experience character growth.
The book and the movie are also different in many ways. The book had more detail in some things but the movie has a better way of showing it. One of the ways that it is different is in the movie Scrooge sold corn to the three men at the bank but in the book that never happened at all! Another thing that was different between the movie
Normally, when a movie is made about a story in a book the two stories are not exactly the same. The movie is adjusted by adding small details or leaving out some parts in order to make the story more
