¨ The Outsiders” movie and novel are both very adventurous and extraordinary. They are very similar in many different ways. However, they are also very different from each other. The movie and novel share similar qualities. For example, they both have the same deaths that take place at the same organized time. Ponyboy, Sodapop and Darry’s parents die first, then Bob, lastly Johnny and Dally. When Johnny and Ponyboy killed Bob, the movie and novel both had the same solution. When they killed Bob, they immediately went to Dally for help and the supplies they would need. Although they have a whole bunch of similarities, they also have many differences. Although the movie and novel have many similarities, they have quite a lot of differences
The book and movie are different, but they do have some similarities with them like the fighting and the fire. Johnny killed Bob the same way it was in the book and movie. Plus not to mention how the two teenagers were heroes when they rescued those kids from the fire, In the movie, some parts are played out word by word as it was in the book but between the clips there are some differences as it is mentioned up

In the book the timeline throughout the adventure is over years, but in the movie this is a adventure that does not take as near as long because they could not fit that all into the movie. There is also the death of Daito in the novel that never even took place in the movie. In the beginning of the book, Pony gets jumped by some Socs, but he doesn’t get cut with a knife. In the movie, they cut him. In the movie when ponyboy is talking to cherry he says how the sun on the south side and she says”good how bout the north.” In the book it's written west and east. Also in the movie johnny never got his first beating from the soc in the book he does. In the book it gave more detail and information in the movie it starts like in mid way of the book.
