What does an abandoned child need into order to survive in the Jungle? The bare necessities! The Jungle Book is a remake of the 1967 classic film that was made into a live-action movie. In The Jungle Book, Mowgli is man-cub found in a basket by a black panther named Bagheera. Mowgli was raised by a pack of wolves after being abandoned when he was a toddler. At the age of ten, Mowgli fled into the jungle to go on a journey of self-discovery after being threatened by Shere Khan, a tiger. Throughout his journey, Mowgli had guidance from Bagheera and Baloo (a bear) to take him to a man-village for his safety and protection from Shere Khan. In addition, he learned many valuable life lessons on his adventure. For this reason, The Jungle Book is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. As a matter of fact, The Jungle Book portrayed very important moral lessons. For instance, the movie shows how Mowgli faced his fears, accepted himself, and being grateful for everything he has. Mowgli faced his fears when he crossed Shere Khan. In other words, Mowgli had the courage to stand up to Shere Khan by fighting back and not being afraid. Mowgli always tried to imitate and fit in with the other animals. In the end, he finally accepted himself as a man. However, he learns to recognize his surroundings after meeting the other animals throughout his journey. For example, he focuses on the things he has in his life, like the jungle and the pack. He does not worry about not having a family or being abandoned when he was a toddler. On the other hand, the acting and voice performances were very well-played. Some of the voice performers include Scarlett Johansson (Kaa) , Bill Murray (Baloo), Ben Kingsley (Bagheera) , and Christopher Walken (King Louie). Neel Sethi, the young boy who played the role of Mowgli, did an amazing job at his part. He was not looking at anything, but a green screen due to the computer generated imagery. None of the scenes were filmed in a location. The way the landscape and animals were done in The Jungle Book was mind blowing.There were a couple of songs that were sung, and the animals being able to sing and talk was very impressive.
