He is then raised by the creatures of the jungle. Years pass and he is presented as a “savage”. Bagheera and Baloo fear that they are not strong enough to fight the entire Bander-log to rescue Mowgli. They come up with the idea to ask Kaa, the python, to help them go rescue Mowgli. Kaa agrees reluctantly, and the they all follow the instructions of Mang the Bat to find him. (Earlier in the story as Mowgli was being carried off by the Bander-log he yelled to Mang, and told him to tell Baloo and Bagheera what had happened to him, and to come rescue him.) They find the childish monkeys and attack. Kaa is the one who forces the monkeys to fear and flee because snakes, Kaa in particular, are very feared by the Bander-log. Disney believed in magic. Disney is a common household name. In fact, some toddlers can recite the name of their favorite characters from their favorite Disney movie. It is not uncommon to see adults watching a Disney movie, and I would venture out and say most Americans have been to Disney Land or Disney World once in their life. Needless to say, Disney is part of the American culture. However, translating the success that Disney has had in the United States to another country can present a lot of challenges. As we will see, in this case, Disney did not do their homework when it came to planning this project in Europe. The Walt Disney Company is the largest media conglomerate in the world and is headquartered in Burbank, California, USA. It was established by Walt and Roy Disney in 1923. Since its inception, Disney has grown vastly so that operational areas now include theme parks, motion pictures, television dramas and consumer products.

And now, nearly four decades after his death, the maker of said creations, Walt Disney, is not nearly as recognized as he should be. Not only are his works and other projects intriguing, his morals and techniques personally behind them are as well. And yet they weren’t just his morals, they were shared by the country’s people who so desired an example of good principles. Perhaps the most significant scheme of all was his creation of his very own amusement park in 1955, Disneyland, located in Anaheim, California.

Before we can discuss how Walt Disneyworld became a household name, we need to understand how it was developed.

This was his biggest idea yet and was meant to be a place where parents and kids could have fun together. Walt originally planned for Disneyland to be smaller and located near Burbank and his studio. The center of Disneyland was a castle based on Snow White. The rides were based on Disney Movies.

In the early 1960s, Walt Disney wanted to give the residents of Eastern United States the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment that was being offered at his California’s Disneyland theme park. Walt and his team the WED Enterprises settled on picking Florida as the new parks location. Florida offered weather that was similar year round, and was already the number one location for tourism. The announcement of the idea was delivered on November 16, 1965 at an Orlando press conference.

The Jungle Book is a book about a young boy named Mowgli who becomes a member of the Seeonee Wolf Pack. An evil tiger named Shere Khan plans to attack Mowgli and the leader of his pack, Akela. When Mowgli grows up, he realizes that he must reunite with men. Mowgli wanders from his village one day. After being attacked by Shere Khan, he's saved by Father Wolf, who asks Akela, the leader of the wolves, to accept Mowgli as a member of the pack. Mowgli momentarily returns to the world of men, but leaves after he learns that Shere Khan has been making plans to attack Akela. He defeats the tiger, but knows that someday he will rejoin the man-pack. A python named Kaa takes Mowgli down to the Cold Lairs, where he steals an ankus. He discards the ankus, fearing its deadly curse.

Walt Disney Company had always been successfully operating theme park until 1992. Starting in 1955 where the first Disneyland set its foot at Anaheim, California and in 1983 in Florida (Hill, 2000). While in 1983, Disney faced a true challenge as they opened the first international Disneyland in Tokyo. In a fear of wide cultural differences between American and Japanese, it turned out an unexpected massive successful Tokyo Disneyland. As a result, Disney did not hesitate to invest a big sum of money for Euro Disney in Paris.
