In 1440, for too many people was the year of change in the global communication. It was during this time in Mainz, Germany that a goldsmith’s Johannes Gutenberg created one of the most important machines during the modern period: the printing press. The printing press was inspired by earlier uses found in China and Japan as early as the 7th century. In this time the way to print was using the method of block printing, which was a piece of wood used to print a specific piece of text. (“Patterns for”)
With the Gutenberg invention the revolution had begun. It advanced the process of movable type further, and started a new era of printing called typography. The typography allowed information to move from almost permanent and portable to the

Templates that were used on every page to create a mass production and look like a single work. ("User Interface”)
The templates are essential in mobile design. It helps to the designer to create layouts based on cultural norms of reading and how people process information. The templates that are used across a product, on most every page of a website or application, we call a wrapper because they enclose (wrap around) all the other components and the content. Also there are some patterns based on how the human mind processes pattern, objects, and information. ("User Interface”)
Scroll bars when information on a page exceeds the viewport, a scroll bar control may be required to access the additional information. Scrolling of information should almost always occur along one axis, except in rare cases. (“Patterns for”)
The problem can be more information in the page or element than can fit in the viewport. You have to provide a method to access this information.
The solution for mobiles will be to display them to indicate the scrollable axes, and the relative position within the scrollable area.
Whenever possible, you should make sure scrolling takes place on a single axis. This is why the whole set of patterns based around vertical scroll exist. When the situation demands, such as for zooming in to content which otherwise fits the area, you can also offer a secondary scroll axis. Keep the secondary axis in mind throughout the design process because
The above code says that the style sheet called sheet600.css will work only when the width of the browser will be less or equal to 600 pixels. Can also be using e.g. min-width, max-height, min-height.
It may contain the companies name and logos, or may simply just be the heading of a document such as an assignment. It is formatted to appear on the top of each page of the document in the same position and size on each page.
To standardize the appearance of the webpages, a template will be designed. The template will standardize the colors, margin, fonts and items that should be published on every page, and in the same location on the page. While designing the template, they need to keep in mind of how users read, rather how the scan the page. They do not read the page from left to rather the scan the page from top to bottom. To help ease users access content and for readability, the width of the margins and the size fonts need to be considered, how they will appear on various size screens, including mobile devices. To avoid distractions minimal colors, sound and video should be used at a minimal, animated backgrounds should be avoided, as it may just add to any visual glare from a screen, and difficult to view on smaller
In the 1450s the first practical printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg. This invention was a major mile-stone in the evolution of human communication. In the (Background Essay) it notifies that “The idea wasn’t new. The Chinese introduced woodblock printing in 600 CE.” This exploration inspired Gutenberg, and saw his chance to reform it into something even better. This made him ask himself “Why not metal letters that wouldn’t wear out, set in a frame that could be inked, papered and pressed?” in the (Background Essay). The purpose of this essay is to explain whether the exploration or reformation of the printing press was the more important consequence.

(Hook) There have been many milestones that have changed human communication, from the invention of sign language to the development of the internet. (Bridge) One of those milestones was the Printing Press. (Background) The Printing Press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in Germany during the year 1450. By 1500, more than 20 million books were printed.
Printers had an impact on the modern world because if there were no printers, people would not be able to spread knowledge. PressBook’s article “How the Printing Press Helped in Shaping the Future'', states “The modern printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century, which then helped in mass production of books and consequently in the spreading of knowledge.” This article shows us how the printing press helped spread knowledge. Also, the printing press helped make more books, which makes more books available to people. Document #3 states “As a result, books can be quickly printed by machine rather than slowly written by hand.
Author, J. Baldius firm in William of Ockham, created an advertisement expressing the way scribes, people who make copies of documents, hand wrote before the Printing Press was created.(Doc 1) Prior to the Printing Press, people hand wrote books and drew illustrations that took many years to complete. When the creation of the moveable type took place, it allowed for people to create books at a much faster rate and it enabled for more jobs to be available. Moreover, the development of this invention spread all across Europe between the years of 1471 and 1500. In maps displaying the spread of the Printing Press from 1471 and 1500, the location from where they started were mainly in Germany, Netherlands, and Italy.(Doc 2) In 1500, there were nine times more printing press’ then there were in 1471 and in that year there was one printing press in every major city. The popularity of the printing press spreads knowledge throughout Europe and makes people realize that this invention was not only a necessity, but it was not even counted as a luxury. The development of the printing press was the most important of all the consequences because although it was the beginning, it sparked a new and easier way for people to spread their knowledge and ideas quickly but
Whilst a number of documents will be designed and managed as per the style guide there will be numerous documents requiring templates or macros.
Cronos, by Guillermo del Toro, is a Mexican film about the lengths in which one would go to be granted immortality. Throughout the film, there are many nods to religion: the main character’s name is Jesus, there is a side character that wears a cross, and a significant portion of the film is set during Christmas. These homages to religion (Christianity in particular) could be emphasizing how religion is a major part of Mexican society. There is also a scene, near the beginning of the film, that shows the streets of the town where the movie is set. What is noticeable about this scene is that del Toro does not show a pristine street, but a messy street.
Public policy refers to “a system of laws, regulatory measures, courses of action, and funding priorities promulgated by governmental entity or its representatives”(Blau & Abramovitz, 2014). One public policy that is gaining attention from United States Senators is the Expand Excellence in Mental Health Act. We can gain a better understanding of this act by taking a look at a recent public policy related to mental healthcare, the values in the Code of Ethics, social welfare programs, stakeholder groups, and Joel Blau’s five elements model. This will give us a better understanding into the social problem and public policy related to access to mental healthcare.
Therefore, Gutenberg invented a punch and mold system in order to produce the movable type for the masses. Over the next five centuries the punch and mold system was refined, so a type tray contained the letters. In addition, the type tray allowed for easier replacement of broken letters. The following books or pages used the same type, which allowed for faster printing (Bantwal). Johannes Gutenberg’s genius lies within utilizing the current 15th century technology and then inventing the leftover part to complete the movable printing press.
In 1350 the renaissance had begun, it was the time to bring back and restore many things from the past. Many people from the renaissance time tried to make a living on their own by painting and writing books. Although it seemed very hard to spread their ideas around the world but until 1444 their worries began to shrink. A man from Germany named Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press, which made possible for people to have copies of books and letters in much lesser time than they were used to. The invention of the printing press was one of most notable inventions from the last millennium because it brought very important changes and accomplishments in the whole world that we can still
Johannes Gutenberg invented the first movable-printing press in the fifteenth century. The printing press affected Europe’s political, cultural, economic, and social development in the centuries that followed. According to Reader, “The eighteenth century saw a rapid expansion in the publication of books, periodicals, and pamphlets, which allowed wide dissemination of these new ideas, and with that, the early stages of public opinion” (24). The availability of paper and spreading of books, allowed various classes of people, many of whom had not previously been exposed to books, to read and interpret different ideas and publication. Access to different points of views caused tension between those in power and the lower classes. One specific example was the access to the Bible, which led to the lower classes questioning the foundations of the Church. In addition, the spread of ideas and power to publish their individual thoughts led to Enlightenment thinking and increased individualism. The idea that people should learn from their own experiences and learn to challenge what they are taught and search for real facts, made living in Europe with an educated, self-governing public possible.
The Big Five personality test is currently the most accepted personality model within the scientific community. In the 1950s, it emerged from the work of multiple different researchers who all obtained similar results when studying personality through each of their own methods. My results, which are based on the personality traits highlighted within the Big Five personality test, are as follows: my extroversion results were moderately high. This results suggests that, at times, I tend to be overly talkative, outgoing, sociable. My orderliness results showed to be moderately high as well. This suggests that I tend to be an organized, neat, and structured person throughout my daily life. My emotional stability results were low. This suggests that I tend to worry too often. According to my results, I tend to be overly insecure, emotional and anxious. My accommodation results were moderately low. This suggests that, at times, I can be overly selfish, uncooperative and difficult to work with, especially in groups.
