Some people think that it is good to do bad things to achieve something good. Well, that seemed to be the case in Russia and the United States after the Industrial Revolution because in the United States and Russia problems led to solution .The Industrial Revolution caused many problems in both the United States and Russia. Even though the Industrial Revolution caused similar problems, the solutions and results were different. There were many problems in the United States due to the Industrial Revolution. First, some Americans attempted to form monopolies to take over a particular industry. For example, Rockefeller and

Overcrowding was a big problem in some areas. Many people that lived in cities had to live in tenements. The conditions there were not very good, and cities were getting dirtier and unhealthy. Diseases began to spread and people got sick and some died. The cities were getting worse and worse. Lastly, due to the diversity of people, and immigration because of the Industrial Revolution, there were many prejudice people in the United States that discriminated against colored people just because of the color of their skin. They were powerless and were not listened to by people. These were just some of the problems in the United States after the Industrial Revolution. There were also many problems in Russia after they had an Industrial Revolution. Russia had many government problems. The Russian government was a type of government that did not listen to the people. The government did as it pleased without consent from the people. The people had no say in the governing process as in the United States. Due to this there were poor working and living conditions, overpopulation, poor sanitation, not many jobs and many people were starving. The majority of the people in Russia (about ninety percent) were poor and only about ten percent were rich and they controlled the nation. This meant the majority of the nation was not being listened to. There were also solutions to the problems in the United States. In order to
The industrial revolution had been made known all over the world, causing huge waves of immigrants to crash into urban cities of the United States. Because of this, many factories sprang up and a typical American industrial worker had to face problems because of immigration and also labor unions, which were created in order to protect factory workers from unfair bosses.
As time progressed society in England changed but the biggest change was caused by the industrial revolution. Society did change for the better but had many bad side effect along with it. A good thing that came from the industrial revolution was the upgrade of tools. With the Industrial revolution came many great inventions that people today rely heavily on. Inventions such as cars, planes, and tools. These changes also helped with the progression of house building, making it easier for people to design and build sturdy homes that can withstand nature. This helped us get to where we are today with all the technological advancements. But this all came at a cost. Along with the factories producing this we had people working there. These people were treated very badly with their work environment and pay. There was no minimum wage back then making it hard for people to continue living. And if u didnt die from starvation or overworking you would die from how dangerous the factories are. All day breathing in smoke and having the risk of getting stuck in a machine. And even if u did survive getting injured you would surely die of infection because they can pay for health care on how low their salary. These changes impacted in world we know today in both positive and
The industrial revolution had many impacts on Americans over the years. From moving slowly in manufacturing to pushing out tons and tons in mere hours. Although that sounds amazing for america it also raised the slave industry due to the mass production of materials that needed to be gathered by hand. In the rise of the slaves the inhumane way of treating slaves popped up where slaves were treated like a brand new dog where they were all lined up together and examined resembling actions of a dog pound and a new family is adopting a new dog. There physical features were precisely judged In fact so inhumane that parents got there kin ripped away from them.
The Gilded Age was a period from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in which Americans greatly increased the rate of industrialization, bringing rise to many economic and social problems. Although many people responded to these problems, two of the most famous were Andrew Carnegie, a wealthy “captain of industry,” and Upton Sinclair, a novelist. Industrialization brought about many economic and social problems. It brought a great amount of wealth to very few and brought poverty to many, widening the gap between the two classes and causing tension between the wealthy and the poor, the factory owners and the laborers. Laborers had to work in hazardous environments for wages and with few ways to advance their position.
While the second Industrial Revolution had its successes, such as the creation of new machinery and the assembly line, they came with a cost. The Industrial Revolution actually caused several problems for America such as forcing many people out of jobs, causing poverty, and the pollution produced by the large factories caused damage to the environment. This led to many political reformers wanting change in America. The reformers focused on 4 main goals, cleaning up politics, limiting the power of big businesses, reducing poverty, and promoting social justice. Several different reform groups took the cause to help reform America and to take on problems such as immigration, racial justice, women’s rights, and imperialism.
The Industrial Revolution was the advancement of transportation, manufacturing, and communication. The Progressive Era was dedicated to fixing the problems left over from the Industrial Revolution. Industrialization developed as technology developed. Loads of natural resources and workers caused industrialization to spread rapidly. In the” Industrial Revolution In the United States” (N/D) article it states that The Industrial Revolution brought about steamboats, sewing machines, and telephones. It started the transition from a rural society to an urban society in the U.S. as industrialization started in the cities and many flocked to those cities in search of employment. While the Industrial Revolution brought advantages, it also brought up problems along with it. There was overcrowded housing due to an increase in population by way of immigration which led to higher risks of disease.
Ever since the beginning, Russia was ruled by a central authority. This authority was known as the Tsar. Russia was a very large country and that made it difficult for everyone to thrive. Leaders did not care for most of the country, only for high ranking government officials. The position of Tsar was usually given to the first son of the current leader, it varied because some Tsar did not have children. Unfair and strict rule of the Tsar was strongly hated by many of the citizens of Russia. People of Russia were not equal with each other and a majority of them were very poor and could not afford food. Economy was struggling due to the lack of true leadership, and citizens were treated harshly and change was bound to happen. Lenin and Stalin
The Industrial Revolution created an enormous increase in the production of many kinds of goods. Some of this increase in production resulted from the introduction of power-driven machinery and the development of factory organization. This then led to a large influx of people into the cities. Also, as a result of the demands that the British were making the Americans demanded more in their own country.
The industrial revolution spawned unimaginable injustices toward the people by capitalists and the United States government. Overpopulation, poor living
Russia was a rural country that once had regime. The majority of Russia was profoundly poor and the few that were rich were extremely wealthy. Their last ruler had been Tsar Nicholas II who was not a natural leader; in fact most people could describe him as a reluctant and feeble monarch. Russia suffered numerous revolutions and defeats in wars under the regime. As a result their country was damaged, economically and socially. Russia was poverty stricken particularly in the countryside where the peasants lived. There were food shortages and a demand for land from the peasants. By 1900 industrialisation took its toll and many peasants moved from the country side to work in factories. Still there was unhappiness: workers demanded better
Russia struggled to provide food for its populations. Citizens took control into their own hands, Ludovic Naudeau wrote in October 1917, “One morning recently I was awakened by the cries of my neighbor in the next room. His boots had been stolen. The same day the manager of a newspaper office told me that he had been robbed six of pairs of pantaloons, … “Four hundred thefts every night!” he cried; that is the average for the last two weeks,”(One Aspect of Bolshevist Liberty). Russia could not even uphold itself because the economy was not successful compared to other countries. This led people to desire a change in the government; therefore this led to the Russian Revolution. People went to different maters to get what they wanted such as stealing since they were not getting the aid that they needed and they needed financial support. This caused them to protest against their government because many people from the lower class could not take care of their families. This cause led to a greater impact compared to Tsarist weak authority.
The Industrial Revolution was of great importance to the economic development of the United States. The new era of mass production kindled in the United States because of technological innovations, a patent system, new forms of factory corporations, a huge supply of natural resources, and foreign investment. The growth of large-scale industry in America had countless positive results, but also negative results as well. Industrialization after the Civil War affected the United States in several ways including poverty, poor labor laws, and the condition of the people.
The industrial revolution was not only technological revolution but a social one that would lie foundation that would grow the word “revolution” exponentially. The industrial revolution brought with it change, whether that change was positive or negative is questionable however it did change the world as it was known. In both England and the United States of America strong industrial revolutions struck, the revolutions would change roles in the household and society for both women and me and the ideologies held about gender roles. In both countries effected by the revolution, industrialization challenged religion and authority, the impact of which can still be seen today.
The workers’ wages were decreased even more as there was no money to pay them. There was little industrial growth, very little capital and transport infrastructure was poorly developed. Some political problems were, Russia was an autocracy or hierarchy and not a democracy. This means that the people of Russia had no say in who ruled the country.
Industrialization began in 1877 and ended in 1900 the United States (U.S.). To have Industrialization, you must have these four things: natural resources, transportation, urbanization, and technology. During this era, jobs became a necessity for citizens in the United States, industries began to boom as well as new homes for people, but that also caused problems. Transportation was developed and it made life easier for transporting people and goods from place to place. Many inventions helped the United States with many things. For example, the telegraph helped send messages and the light bulb helped people see in the dark. Also, many Americans were losing their jobs because of immigration. Children during this time period had it just as rough as the adults, maybe even more than them. The Industrial Revolution led to the growth of cities, industries, new inventions, and major points that created transportation and housing for citizens because of new jobs and productions.
