This kind of love was like a puppy love. The reason I call it puppy love is because Romeo loves her but Rosaline does not love him back. But the love that Romeo portrays to have for Rosaline is very shallow and nobody in the town thinks that it will last very long. Romeo and Rosaline have went their separate ways, this is why Romeo is very upset and sad at the beginning of the play. In the beginning of the play he still talks about how perfect Rosaline is and how he will never forget her, but this is just explaining how he is not with her but still greatly loves her. This love you see a lot in modern day. This is the kind of love that just happens, but not everybody can be happy
