I am writing on behalf of the 8th-Grade Class at Monticello Trails Middle School to prove that Kansas needs a Goodnight book. We want a nice book that can show kids that Kansas isn’t boring. This is to prove Kansas is just as good as any state. We deserve this because every other state has a Goodnight book but Kansas.
There are books for every other state but not ours, so I believe that it's only fair if we get a book too. Kansas has activities that anyone can do like, celebrate with us that our team the Royals had won the World Series. Publishing this book would be good for the children when they learn about the history of our state. Kids would be able to learn about their own state and understand the basis of it. Kids in Kansas will be able to get a heads up on some known items. This will be able to make you a good amount of money while teaching the basis of Kansas to kids all over the United States. I know you don’t take submissions but, Kansas can offer much more than you think. We have Verrückt the tallest water slide and we also have the actual bumpy hills of Flint Hills. Also nothing can beat our beautiful orange, red, and purple sunset.

Creating this book could change the face of your company. Young children would be ecstatic about this so would I. I certainly hope to hear back from you soon. Our 8th-grade class would appreciate if you considered this book to go into production. If you have any questions you can contact me or the school using the information above or below. Thank you for looking at this and I hope to hear from you
Although times are changing and society is learning to adapt to the free minds of the younger generations, much is still restricted from the public eye. For example, a list of “banned books” exists containing hundreds of novels that have been removed from libraries and classrooms. Before the books become banned, they are challenged by a group of people who feel strongly that the book is not appropriate for today’s curriculum. Among these books is Looking for Alaska by John Green, which should not be banned because it implements the use of upper-level vocabulary, involves real-life problems and solutions, and causes readers to look at life from a new perspective.
Many of the students found the reading assignments to be the most enjoyable part of the class. Each of the books were relatable in some way or another. River City Empire by Orville Menard revealed to students the untold history of Omaha’s political past. The book illustrated parts of Omaha that are still around today. Students could easily visualize these areas and recognize what has changed throughout time and what hasn’t. The same goes for Willa Cather’s novel One of Ours and Friday Night Lights by Buzz Bissinger. While reading, students were able to compare the stories and put them into context based on their own past experiences. Unlike River City Empire, One of Ours and Friday Night Lights depict the small town vibe where time really has stood still. These books proved to be significant in following class discussions, because frankly some people are still unaware of the societal realities within their own state. And for those who were never familiar with Nebraska and Great Plains culture, it was lesson over how the progressive, 21st century ideology really hadn’t
Only about 3,546,211 people survived the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler was the main leader of the Holocaust, he did this because of his discrimination of Jews. There were more than just Jews killed, there were gay people, priests, gypsies, people with mental or physical disabilities, communists, trade unionists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, anarchists, Poles and other Slavic peoples, and resistance fighters. The Holocaust happened between 1933 through 1945 in Germany and Poland. Night, is an autobiography written by Elie Wisel who was involved in the Holocaust. Auschwitz Death Camp, it is a video documentary of the death camp including Elie Wisel and Oprah Winfrey. The truth about the Holocaust to me is horrendous, all the torturing they had to go through
I know you don’t accept submissions, but it would be amazing if you considered our proposal. We would love to be a part of the goodnight book family. Not to mention that Kansas has many things to offer that would be perfect to put into the book such as, the sporting K.C soccer team that has won countless amount of games and not to mention a beautiful and clean soccer stadium
We understand that you have to make some profit out of this. We might see if our students might be interested in purchasing copies. We have come up with plenty of things that are
Introduction-Charles Goodnight was an outdoorsman, Mostly because of how beautiful Illinois was, or how beautiful Macoupin County was. He was also a cattle driver and is one of the best well known ranchers. He was in a family of 7-9 including all divorced fathers and all children. She doesn’t write the books as if the children aren’t smart enough to read, she writes her books as though every child will be able to read them. Although she does this she still gives aides to the children and teachers. In some of her books she includes different colored font to show words or phrases of importance. All her books are not the same. She does not use the same writing style in each one. She has used a variety of sentence lengths and types in all of her books. Even though some sentences may be long they are still simple and easy to follow and the children find them interesting. I personally love her books. I love her illustrations and how she labels the pictures. Her books are very kid friendly and the encourage children to ask questions about the pictures. At the end many of her books she includes an information page. The information page has neat facts about whatever the book was about. In her book Apples the information page has a bunch of facts about apples.
On May 19, 1856, Charles Sumner of Massachusetts rose to speak in the Old Senate Chamber. Sumner was an antislavery Republican who intended to address whether Kansas should be admitted to the Union as a slave state or a free state. Sumner carefully wrote a 112 page long address. He memorized every word of the address "The Crime Against Kansas."
Kansas has a variety of things to offer the world. This book could include the fact that the world’s tallest water slide is located in Kansas City, Kansas. Soccer is becoming more popular around the world every day, and it just so happens that the soccer capital of America is located in Kansas City, Kansas. The Wizard of Oz is a very popular movie among younger kids, and Dorothy’s house is located in Liberal, Kansas. Also all of the pictures and writings in our book was all created by thirteen and fourteen-year-old kids that are from Kansas. Your company can benefit from adding Kansas to the series because there are over 200,000 kids under the age of five living in Kansas who would love to have a book written after their state. There are so many children in the state of Kansas, and adding Kansas to the series would make you a profit.
In my setting we make sure that all resources are available for all the children to reach. Also all display boards are regularly made/created with the children’s own work and are at a level where the children can read them and look at them. Its important for children to be able to access their own resources so then they can explore with their minds and draw/write whatever they like. We also have a story corner for the children to sit quietly with their friends and read books, and freely communicate with each other. We have a story rack placed on the wall, which is where all the different books from fiction to non-fiction are kept at the children’s height.
Bijan Ghassemi Exodus/Deuteronomy 100 Professor Bricker November 29, 2014 Honor vs. Shame Exodus is the second book in The Holy Bible and it is known that the first five books of the Holy Bible including Exodus were written by Moses. Cite a source for this? Moses gained his social and religious leadership within the Israelites as God spoke to him and commanded him later on in the Book of Exodus to lead the Israelites out of Egyptian slavery to freedom.
The environment engulfing me was foreign, filled with nervousness and apprehension. The Boys State of Kansas seemed to be a mere simulation of Kansas state’ governance on a college campus; it was much more. Being accompanied by utterly anonymous men, I knew little of anyone in my dormitory. I became situated in the Federalist Party, a conservative body as opposed to the liberal Nationalist Party. I never imagined adopting a conservative lens in politics. The feeling of dismay entered my consciousness. Incidentally, another obstruction entered my path. As I walked down the dimly lit hallway, I realized that I had no roommate. Consequently, I became ostracized in a physical manner from the remainder of the city of Mantey. I fretted that there would be little intellectual attainment upon my behalf. Yet, I stayed with the Federalists and pursued what was in the interests of my party, county, and city.
Kansas has many state parks and the popular place is the monument rocks and the castle rocks. The monument rocks and the castle rocks have fossils in ancient chalks in plain western Kansas which is a spectacular landmark. The chalk was deposited during the Cretaceous period of geological history about 80 million years ago, when the central interior was covered by sea. The fossils were like shark teeth, fish bones, even dinosaur bones, and other sea creatures. The fossils in the chalk bed go to the Sternberg Museum in Hays.Michael J. Everhart is a shark hunter and he found a shark skull which was under sand and gravel The chalk was a good material for trapping and preserving
As one begins to compare genocides and holocausts, it is hard to remain unbiased. Of Course there are dissimilarities, mostly semantic, between these two horrendous acts. Regardless, the fact is that both these words are used to explain the immense killings done with the objective of annihilating an entire race of people .Holocausts and Genocides are disgusting both in its drive and the scale of their destruction. Both should of never have happened.
The amount of skin shown in our culture today has increased dramatically, in our outfits and in our advertisements. We use the human body, both male and female, to sell products ranging from perfume to hamburgers. It has become more acceptable in our culture to see more rather than leave some of the body to the imagination. This is specifically seen in the magazine advertisement for Gucci’s fragrance for men, Guilty. This advertisement targets the male audience, specifically the heterosexual male audience. I will use clearness and sufficiency to argue that the sexual nature of Gucci’s Guilty advertisement effectively targets the male audience because of our culture’s masculinity complex.
