The Florida Project is a film about a family living in a motel and how financial hardship affects the children of this film. The family I choose to support is Moonie’s mother, Hailey. Within the film, Hailey is unemployed and having a challenging time finding a job which caused her to lose the assistance she received from welfare. Hailey turns selling discounted items on the streets and to prostitution as her main source of income. To try and support this family, I would offer Hailey a job at my uncle’s restaurant, which will allow her not to use prostitution as a source of income. If Hailey was able to have a steady job should would be able to provide her daughter a better place to live and a reliable food source. Additionally, Hailey having a steady would allow her to receive assistance from welfare if she qualified.
The film ended with a good cliffhanger, having the viewer question what would happen next to Hailey and Moonie or why Moonie ran away to Disney World. I feel that Moonie went to Disney World because she thought that she would blend it with all the other children and not be taken by DCF. When Moonie runs away Hailey was faced with another challenge of trying to find her daughter to be

She had to remain resilient despite the stress that faced her and Moonie. Even though her personality was unpleasing to most, the bond she created with her daughter allowed both to survive their hardship together. A major challenge Hailey encountered was when she was being evicted from her motel room and had to seek refuge at another motel. Unfortunately, the motel changed its management along with the prices causing Hailey to become volatile with the staff, eventually being able to move back into her previous motel. Bobby her “landlord” is the only person who tries to support Hailey and
The Everglades, also known as the River of Grass, is one of South Florida's most treasured areas. It is an area still full of wonder and mystery. The Everglades is lined with a specific type of limestone bedrock formed by tiny organisms called byrozoans. These animals, though not related to coral, act like coral by extracting dissolved limestone from the sea water around them and using it to construct protective chambers in which to live. They then attach to various kinds of sea grasses on the ocean floor and coat them as well. Individual chambers combine together to form rock-like structures. Over thousands of years, when South Florida was completely submerged, a vast amount of this limestone

In particular there are differences in the cultures, weather, and attractions of these two beach communities.

The British were not good rulers because they had only ruled for 20 years, while Spain had dominated Florida for over 288 years. The British were weak, the only reason they got Florida was because they were teamed with the French. This of course was before the Treaty of Paris. In 1672 the British had captured Havana but the use of it was nothing. Many of the British territories had recruiting programs that were not hard to like.

Creamy carrion, pizza barf, decomposing lemon wedges, and water-logged toast crusts; sounds like the typical garbage can. -Dan failed to fully utilize high profile networks of Scott and Henry, who were both graduates of an Ivy League School (Did Scott graduate from Ivy League School?). Also, Dan did not try to reach out to his network he established while he was buying and selling airplanes. Even if there was no one interested in their direct network, perhaps someone in their network knew someone who might be interested. Scott later contacted his 100 alumni later but rather passively; instead of calling to actively initiate a conversation, he mailed out information.

Maintaining ecological diversity is necessary for the survival of a biological community. In the United States, American citizens are on the verge of irrevocably damaging one of the country's most unique and diverse treasures - the Florida Everglades. This national park is now the only remaining patch of a river that used to span 120 miles from Lake Okeechobee to the Florida Bay. Dikes and levees created by the Army Corps of Engineers in the late 1940's drained this river to reduce flooding and increase useable water for the development of the region. This major diversion of water lead to a trickle down effect causing the continual decline of the environmental state of the Everglades. Since then, debates over the
Trisha wasn’t sure if moving every day was a good and bad thing. The bad part about her moving was the fact that if she hadn’t moved on the first day and just stayed in the area she might have been found and rescued
Groundwater is the largest and most available usable source of drinking water in the state. There is a vast and mysterious system of caves and natural springs in North Central Florida. The cave system within the aquifer is one of the most amazing parts. The caves are remarkable in many ways. They are among the deepest and longest in the world, let alone the U.S. Another amazing aspect of the system is the purity of the water. The springs collectively produce billions of gallons of crystal clear water per day. The whole system stems from the Florida Aquifer that rests under the entire state. When most people think of Florida, they think of the weather and the beaches, but its the springs and the whole water
