Chapter members are encouraged to participate and lead in the community as well as support other campus organizations and initiatives. At the end of each year, with support from chapter advisers and the New Chapter Support Team, the chapter will evaluate its performance in the Five Star Program. In addition, members will discuss their desired goals for the upcoming year and determine a strategy to best meet them. We encourage the chapter to be a model chapter at Adelphi and strive to consistently achieve four-star or five-star recognition. 4. On March 20, 2017, Kappa representatives discussed the current state of the UC Irvine Panhellenic community with Brian Clarke, Director of Greek Life. We would like to share several points from that conversation with you.
Kappa was one of three National Panhellenic Conference organizations to apply and receive an invitation to present. At the end of November, we shared all of the ways Kappa Kappa Gamma will contribute to the HWS campus.
This document details each academic division within the school (at this point the school had not received university status) and each program within the division including outcomes of each, the governance of the unit, the faculty and their credentials, and the courses that comprise each program (Academic Profiles, 2012). The other attachment to the comprehensive report is the Chapter Two Appendices

The position of Panhellenic President at Kettering University plays an important role in sorority life by uniting the two chapters here on campus. The president should be able to maintain a neutral and supportive stance on all topics to create a productive counsel. I feel I could play this part to support Sorority Greek life based on my previous positions on campus. As a member of ASA I am currently acting as Standards chair, as part of this role I act as a mediator for concerns within the chapter and determine positive outlets to resolve those concerns. I believe these skills I have learned will aid in my ability to support the council. I have been a member of the Panhel counsel for the past two years and am very familiar with its operations.
As a university, we have decided to promote Panhellenic spirit to a much greater degree. In the past, there was very little Panhellenic spirit among the sororities on campus. This semester that is changing. We are currently scheduled to have a sisterhood with another sorority on campus. We are also having dinner with at least one other Sorority's executive board. By doing this, we are trying to help eliminate the competition aspect between the different sorority chapters and ultimately bring the community closer. As an executive board we are trying to help promote a positive environment and share Panhellenic love to all the sorority chapters on our campus.
Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated purpose is to be of service to all mankind dealing with critical issues in communities domestically and internationally. What I have grown to understand an envision a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to be, I accredit largely to the ladies of the Gamma Theta chapter. This has the result of attending many of the chapter’s events during my time at Hampton thus far. One of my favorite events was a screening of a documentary Girls Rising. I learned to appreciate every opportunity to learn and gain knowledge because in some parts of the world girls are restricted from receiving an education. A
I am interested in the Delta Iota Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. at Cheyney University. Being a lifetime member of the first sorority for African-American women has sparked my interest since childhood. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority means to me services provided by now all ethnicities for women to impact the community in a positive manner. The services since the beginning in 1908 have been immaculate. Many AKA’s were helping during the Great Depression, Civil Rights Movement, and today are helping with Black Lives Matter. Being a potential member of this prestigious organization for a lifetime I believe will be able to make a difference on Cheyney University campus and surrounding areas.
As a way to get more involved on a college campus, many students decide to join Greek life. To help students decide on which organization is better suited for their personality, a Recruitment Week, also known as “Rush Week,” is held to give students the opportunity to explore the
Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience into going Greek. It is important for one to have the best experience in college, and by joining such an organization one may improve their college years, as well as their post college years with the relationships they build, the leadership and networking skills gained, and the job opportunities.
Joining a sorority is not just four for years but for life. Going through a week-long process of meeting thousands of girls can be intense, overwhelming but intriguing and exciting as well. Recruitment to many is known as a terrifying process where girls come from all over with matching shirts, bright smiles and dreams that at the end of the week they will receive the white envelope that incases the 4x6 card with the sororities crest inviting them into their sisterhood. By preparing ahead of time, which includes building a resume, searching for recommendation letters and extensive research on each chapter, sorority recruitment doesn’t have to be an intimating process.
For years, the club was unable to acquire new club officers and club members, forcing the program to go AWOL for a significant amount of time before attempting to become rekindled. Students and faculty involved with the club agree that one of the sizable challenges the club has faced is acquiring new members each year.
What previous knowledge I had about sororities was based of the experience of my older sister, who went through the recruitment process twice to find her home in Kappa Delta at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. The advice my sister gave was each school is different when it came to Greek life, but the experience would be the same it would leave me experiencing so many different feelings from exhaustion to painfully awkward conversations. I wanted to see for myself if this process was for me, to see if I could see myself as being a “sorority girl.”
In line with this academic program, I was also part of the team that developed the Operation Graduation Program. This program helps the students focus on their goal, which is to graduate. We monitored their progress by using the data and each student was assigned to a cohort leader that will guide the student into day – to- day
