An incident that changes the direction of my life was, when I broke my foot. As a young kid I loved playing sports and do aggressive activities. One day playing soccer someone who was bit stronger than I was, kicked my foot which caused the bones to break. I fell to the floor not knowing what just happened. All I remember is that some EMT’s come to the rescue and took me to the hospital. I was so glade and appreciative with the EMT’s that took care of me. As a result I told myself I will do everything that I can to help out the community just liked I was helped instead of worrying about myself and not others. I started volunteering with the fire department and received all the certifications required in order to start helping those in need.

Your statement about Bart truly feeling everything he has to say is not only correct but beneficial to the class may be entirely true! During Bart's limited exposure and experience as a BLS provider for a local non transport agency it is quite possible that he may observed or discussed with a fellow first responders additional information not learned in the BLS EMT class weather or not it is correct and he has found it beneficial in his first response practice. Additionally Bart appears to want to show his knowledge in attempt to fit in or show off. The problem with this behavior it can be distracting to his fellow students, if the information is incorrect it could cause confusion for the other students. Additionally this behavior distracts
I moved to the state of Delaware and I had been sitting “dormant” for about a year and I was doing my own thing. Then, one day I was going for a motorcycle ride and I saw “volunteers needed”. It was a marquee board outside of a firehouse in Little Creek Delaware. I decided to stop and see what they had to offer or should I say now what I had to offer them. I stopped in and talked with the chief and I decided to give it a shot. I never realized how rewarding it was going to be. May of 2013 changed my life for the better. It made me realize I had purpose in life and a passionate career to pursue.
An experience that has influenced my life was my sophomore year in high school in which I had made the Trojanette Drill Team. As a first time dancer and the lack of confidence I had at the time I didn't think I was going to open up to a cluster of girls I didn't know. Walking into the drill team room I was an introverted person who didn't believe I was worth being on the team, but walking out of the drill team room I was confident, responsible, hardworking and eager to continue the next year of dance.
Another critical moment in my life that changed me forever occurred in August of 2001. At the peak of hurricane season, Louisiana was terribly affected by Hurricane Katrina. Katrina devastated millions of people across the south. For the first time in my life I got to experience what it felt like to be homeless. I had lost everything! And even though it was not much, it still mattered. There were several moments when I prayed and wished that my father could be there. No child, my age should have to go through with what I did. In hopes to find assistance, my mother left me and my siblings with my grandmother for a few months. These months were terrifying. I remember crying several nights
There has been many important events that have occurred since I have been born but there is one in particular that has sparked a light in me that has changed the way i have looked at things. It happened when I was playing with the Sacramento FC and everything was going well until the middle of the season. When we got to the middle of the season things started to look shady. I wasn't getting playing time and that really opened my eyes to reality. Soccer was not the only thing that I needed to do in order to have a good life. I needed to start focusing on my dreams and different routes to success other then just soccer. It really showed what I need to do in order to survive in the real world. If it was not for my family's support through this
I’ve had many moments that I didn’t know would change my life, but they ended up impacting me in a big way. One moment was when I applied for kindergarten at my old school. I was only three, so I had no idea how important that time would be. I ended up on the waiting list, but I got in. That school had a huge influence on me. I loved going there. I made many friends that I will have forever, and I learned so much. I had no idea that school would mean so much to me, but looking back on it, it was a huge part of my childhood. Another time was when I interviewed to get into Park. Being accepted to Park and choosing to go to this school took me on a completely different path than if I had gone somewhere else. Right now, I’m in the process of applying to high schools. I don’t know what will happen, but one moment can change everything. In the future I’m also going to have to apply to colleges. There are also other moments that changed my life. An example is when my mom signed me up for gymnastics. I didn’t know I would like it so much, but now I love it. This has had an impact on my identity and the the schools I’ve attended have too. I’m still young, so I’m going to have many times that will change my life and identity in the
Life Changes Life changes. One year, one month, one day, one minute, one second in time can change your life. You never know when some life changing event will happen but they always come. The three of many life changing events I have had that have changed my life immensely are when I started playing basketball, the time I busted my two front teeth in half, and all my early elementary school years when I was bullied. My love for basketball started when I was around 4 years old in the YMCA league when I didn’t know the first thing about how to even dribble a ball, now I am the starting point guard for the school team.
A significant event (for lack of a better word) changed my career goals and philosophy. This “event” was just simply watching as my daughter struggled to find her place in society. When my daughter was in grade school we were told by a school psychologist that she was “mildly mentally retarded” and that we would be lucky if she graduated from high school. In the very next statement she informed my husband and I that she did not qualify for any assistance in school because she tested to high on one portion of the test and to low on the other. We were not willing to just accept this, we realized that she had learning difficulties that would need to be addressed, but we
I don’t have a very dramatic life, but I guess everyone has a few experiences, big or small, that has made an impact on their lives. Every day we all make decisions, both good and bad. Some changes are not ours to make. In this write-up I will be sharing previous experiences that made the biggest impacts on me.
Everyone has that one experience that makes them look at life with a new set of eyes. My life changing experience happened a little earlier than most. It was the summer before first grade. We had gotten an exceptional amount of rain in the past months even though it was summer. I did not notice, though, because summer was every six year old's favorite holiday, next to Christmas and their birthday. My summer was supposed to be like any other but it quickly took a turn. For the best or for the worst? That is debatable.
