INTRODUCTION
Neurofibromas are cells in the human body that can go crazy and turn into a tumor. People with neurofibromatosis have cells in them called neurofibromas. Neurofibromas are in people with the NF1 gene. This means that later these cells may go crazy and start to develop into tumors. You can get these tumors surgically removed. Later in this report I will give you more information about the neurofibroma such as the function and structure. I will also explain how neurofibromas damage the human nerves.
CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM My cell damages nerves in the human body. When my cell turns into a tumor it lays over nerves damaging them. The main function of the nervous system is to deliver energy and signals throughout your body. The
The Nerve tissue is a group of cells which react to, many different types of stimuli. They transmit messages throughout the body which can include things such as temperature, pain, and pressure.
World War I took place in Europe in the early 19th century and was fought by Germany, Italy, Russia, France, Great Britain, and Australia-Hungary. These countries reasons for a war were nationalism, alliances, and militarism. Germany, Italy, Russia, France, Great Britain, and Austria-Hungary were all wanting the same thing, but they were too busy competing with each other to see clearly.
In the story of The Epic of Gilgamesh the themes of coping with loss and death and the presence of fear and uncertainty in one’s life are of significant relevance as the story unfolds. The main character Gilgamesh and the supporting character Enkidu develop a strong bond throughout the story. After Enkidu dies, Gilgamesh transitions from a high point in his life full of glory and adventures to a time of misery and grieving. This leads Gilgamesh to set into perspective his own existence. From this point on, Gilgamesh dreads death and the uncertainty it surrounds it. Especially during the time when the story develops people had a pessimistic outlook on death and life which intensifies his fear. Loss and death and the presence of fear and uncertainty are themes that are affluence in the book and are reflected in the sorrows, lamentations and fears of the main character Gilgamesh.
The nervous system is one of the body’s complex functions that contain a network of cells and nerves that transmit signals from the brain and spinal cord to different areas of the body. It is categorized into two groups; the central nervous system which is made up of the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system which contains the body’s nervous tissue and is where neurologic responses occur. Homeostasis, which is the process in which thermoregulation is maintained, also happens in this area.
The nervous system is one of the most important organ systems in the body. It is in charge of all of the things that happen within the body. Being responsible for receiving sensory input from internal and external stimuli, integrating and processing information, and generating output, it would be hard to survive without a nervous system; however, there are different types of nervous systems in various organisms. Humans, cnidarians, flatworms, and annelids all have very diverse nervous systems. There are similarities and differences in each of these beings.
Glioma is a solid primary tumour that starts in the brain and has a very high mortality rate. Brain tumours are most common in adults but can also affect children. There are two types of tumours one type is called the low-grade tumour and this is the slow growing tumours that are referred to as non-malignant. High-grade tumours are fast growing and are referred to as malignant tumours. However even though there are different grades they both have the potential to cause harm. The high grade which are cancerous are the most difficult to treat this is because of highly vascularized nature of the tumour. Treating high-grade gliomas requires specific alterations within the cells. Patients who suffer from a brain tumour will have many symptoms.
Some nf1 tumors can become cancerous, treatment includes surgery radiation or chemotherapy, however for nf2 advanced diagnostic technologies such as mri can show tumors when the are as small as a few millimeters allowing early treatment. some cases of nf1 can cause cosmetic and psychological issues.
The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord. The brain is connected to the spinal cord. The brain helps interpret information received from the spinal cord. Through the spinal cord signals are sent to the rest of body and back to the brain. Nerve cells (neurons) are found in the nervous system and they help communicate with other cells through electrical signals. Some of the nerve cells are coated with a myelin sheath. Myelinated neurons allow electrical signals to travel at a faster speed. When the myelinated part of the nerve cell is destroyed, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can be the one to blame.
The nervous system is a chain of interconnected nerve fibers which is constructed by the central nervous system and Peripheral nervous system. The job of the nervous system is to send messages from the brain and spinal cord to different parts of the body.
The primary ones include these types. Gliomas, the most common brain tumor involving the brain tissue. There are different grades and even types of gliomas. But if the tumor grade is higher, it will probably grow faster. Medullblastomas are brain tumors that in young children. Without treatment it will spread rapidly into the spinal fluid and other parts of the brain. But almost or half of the brain tumors found are benign. These types of brain tumors are usually Meningiomas and Neuromas. Meningiomas begin in the tissue membranes. Neuromas are in the nerves mostly in people over
When cancer develops elsewhere in the body and spreads (metastasizes) to the brain, it’s called a secondary brain tumor, or metastatic brain cancer. Metastatic brain tumors are more common than primary brain tumors. Some cancers that commonly spread to the brain
There are two types of nervous system cells, they receive and send electrochemical responses to the body. Neuron cells are the conducting cells of the nervous system. Neurons have a cell body with dendrites branching from the main body, an axon which is the long tail that extends from the main body that is wrapped in myelin to create a protective sheath around the axon that also helps speed the neurotransmissions. The glial cell is the supporting cells of the
Tumors can be classified into three types: 1) benign 2) pre malignant 3) malignant tumor. Benign tumors are those which are incapable of abrupt expanding and affecting the other healthy brain tissues. Premalignant tumor is a pre cancerous stage, if not treated properly it may lead to cancers. It is often considered as a disease. Malignant tumor grows rapidly with time an ultimately leads to death of patient. Malignant is a medical term describing a sever growth of a disease. The most common primary brain Tumors are gliomas, wherein 70% are in the group of malignant gliomas, glioblastoma multiform (GBM).The GBM is one of the highest malignant human
The nervous system is made up of basic units called neurons. The main role of the neurons is to receive, integrate and transmit information throughout the body. There are some neuroglial cells found in nervous system aswell which provide support to the neurons by giving protection and nourishment Neurons have nerve processes that looks like finger like projections extended from the nerve cell body. They also contain axons and dendrites which enable them to transmit signals throughout the body. Normally, axon carry signals away from the cell body and dendrites carry signals toward the cell body according to Regina Bailey (2013). Neurons have three different shapes: bipolar, unipolar and multipolar where bipolar has two neuronal processes coming out of the cell body, unipolar has only one neuronal process coming out of the cell body and multipolar has many neuronal processes coming out of the cell body.
A person that had a significant influence to me is my really good friend by the name of Joseph Paulus. Joseph is a very influential person to me throughout my high school year till the end of my junior year. Being two years older, and is a grade above me, he is someone I would I would preferably look up to. Without Joseph, I wouldn’t be able to speak up, free spirited, think for myself, or to still be here today without his guidance. Joseph to me, is someone who acts like a big brother, someone who cares for everyone he knows. I love Joseph a lot, remembering how we first met on the first day of practice for track and field. He was a gentle, sociable, giant that approach me, and afterward he is someone I strongly admire than anyone else at
