The Characteristics Of A Hero In Toy Story

On occasion when watching a show or movie or when reading a book we can come across characters to whom we can easily relate. For this assignment we were asked to do just that and find characters with whom we felt we shared characteristics that could be used to describe ourselves. The three fictional characters that I believe most represent my personality are Mal Reynolds from the show firefly and the movie Serenity for his loyalty and courage, Jack Sparrow for his silliness and free-spirited nature, and Alucard from the anime Hellsing for his professional demeanor and mannerisms.

The way a character acts, due to their traits and characteristics, is what can really hook a person in, and can lead a person to making a certain character their favorite. A character that sticks out to me is Nemo, from Finding Nemo, a Disney movie. The ways that Nemo acts throughout the movie can be traced to what has happened to him previously, and can be thoroughly explained and analyzed. Some ways that Nemo acts throughout the movie can be described as brave, independent, and even reckless.

Crack sizzle sizzle.The fire went as Ponyboy and Johnny gallantly went back inside the burning church.This confirms how Ponyboy and Johnny are heros,knowing they would face their death by going.They were trying to help the kids stuck in the church,who had no way of getting out.

God has a reason for everything in life. Sometimes we do not understand his reasoning, we just have to stick to his plan and trust that he has put us on the right path. He sends people into your life to be your hero, to save you. In the novel Fearless, every person that came into Adam Brown’s life, plays the role of a hero in some way. Many people in this novel played the role of a hero, each in their own unique way.

As they are all escaping the daycare, Lotso approaches and pushes them into the dumpster. Thankfully for Woody, the baby expresses his good heart and throws in Lotso into the dumpster with them. Sadly, the dumpster was just picked up and was off to the landfill. As they were fighting to get out of the landfill before the big fire, Lotso escapes and leave Woody behind. Woody and his friends were doomed, but at the last second the claw came down (controlled by the Aliens), and were picked them up and brought to safety. Finally, Woody returned and brought the gift of, being a hero to his friends, and the gift of remembering his past mistakes. The hero's journey in Toy Story 3 was expressed through the toy cowboy: Woody. Throughout his journey, he learned to be courageous and to be determined. As he was being taught through the journey and by the mentor he was learning how to become a hero. Without this key journey, the story of the movie would not be the same. Instead, the path of the story could have been accepting your mistakes because of the mistake of going to daycare. But from the journey, he learned a different lesson and is now a hero for helping his friends get out of the daycare.

A hero is someone few people can be. A hero is someone who is able to do a task no one else can do and be able to help in situations of need. A hero is someone who puts others people’s needs ahead of his own to do what’s good. Someone who has all the qualities of a hero is Spongebob. In his film “The Spongebob Movie” Stephen Hillenburg uses the character archetype “the hero” to show that we as humans need someone to lead us because when we face life’s biggest challenges we need someone to help us out.

Toy Story 2 deals with both sides of the conflict surrounding ‘identity versus confusion’, typically occurring during adolescence between the ages of 12 and 18 (Cherry, 2016). Towards the beginning of the film, an incident occurs in which Woody’s arm is torn by Andy. From here, Woody is placed on a shelf, segregated from Andy and the rest of the group. For an example I really enjoy writing short stories and you can see my personality through my stories. Character alike scholarship can also make or break your school career. Some students use their character qualities in a wrong way, like if you are funny or can make a joke some kids use that quality during classes and at the wrong times!

Woody is from the Pixar/Disney animated movie Toy Story, woody was played by Tom Hanks. In the movie woody see himself as Andy’s favorite toy. When Christmas comes around Andy receives a Buzz Light-year action figure. When buzz light year is unpackaged he thinks he is on an actual space mission. He says he is on a quest to fix his space ship and get back to his home planet. Woody thinks he is insane, as the story progresses woody and buzz find themselves in stuck in Sid’s house (Andy’s neighbor) where they have to escape the creepy messed up toys in order to get back to their owner Andy.

Woody quickly becomes jealous and insecure with the arrival of Buzz and this turns him into a bully. Not the characteristics expected of a Disney hero. This is shown in the way Woody constantly ridicules Buzz making fun of his name and teases him maliciously about the fact he thinks he actually is a space ranger. This brings us on to Buzz. He is super confidant and suffers from delusions of grandeur. However although he may be a little irritating he is still likeable, cheerful and helpful. He has too much confidence in own abilities. This is why when he sees the advertisement for Buzz Lightyear Action figures he completely loses his will to live and is unable to do anything. This is another theme that self belief has a reflection in what you are able to do as they both find out at the end in that when they have confidence in themselves they are able to rise above seemingly insurmountable obstacles in rescuing Buzz and getting back to Andy. Another theme is that of appearances being deceptive. Woody and Buzz immediately consider the toys in Sid’s room as evil. The audience also get this feeling. Not only do they look disturbing but also they are also associated with Sid who is the main evil character. Despite their initial fears, Woody and Buzz are soon convinced that Sid’s warped creations are also prisoners and are in fact friends. ‘Toy Story 1’ is a story about a boy named Andy and his toys. Woody, a cowboy toy, was the leader of a group of toys and also Andy’s favorite. What I think make a great hero is someone who is able to overcome his or her obstacles in life, is highly motivated, and has plenty of bravery.

Being considerate means to be thoughtful and careful to how others feel. Being sympathetic means to have an understanding with someone of a common feeling you both have felt. I feel that I demonstrate these traits everyday. For one instance is when I helped out to mentor some of the younger kids on my baseball team.
