At 5am Officer Singh called SA Lyn Brumaire who was on duty at Coral Tower because Jordan Horvat was worried a resident of 902, Stephanie Lee, was missing. Upon keying into the room with PSO Tabiri, the resident in questions, Stephanie Lee was found to be missing from her apt. Officer Tabiri then decided to take a statement from SA and resident Macayla Caso. Ms. Horvat was also not present in the room. Ms. Caso was under the assumption that Ms. Horvat had gone home since she was packing earlier in the day and the sheets were stripped off her bed.
Cheryl (Robinson) Henson filed a complaint against Dr. Eric Kondro alleging inappropriate prescribing narcotics pain killer to her ex-husband Paul D. Forbis. Cheryl (Robinson) Henson stated her ex-husband had an addiction problem for the past 15 years and Dr. Kondro was fully aware of Forbis’ condition.
As Avery's civil case of $ 36 million against Manitowoc County progressed, a photographer, Teresa Halbach, was nowhere to be seen and was reported missing. The last place she was known to at the Avery’s auto salvage property where she had an appointment with Avery to take a picture of a car there. I would go for a targeted communication strategy to each of the different stakeholders. The first one will be to Jessica’s parents to re-explain the true nature of these unfortunate circumstances. I would explain to them the entire process and where we went wrong and apologize. I would also convey that the unfortunate circumstances were not specifically targeted at them but it was a bad lapse in the entire process and while we can help at this particular time with your daughter, we will reevaluate the entire process to ensure that nothing like that ever happens again. On July 29, 1984 Jennifer Thompson, a white woman was brutally raped by a black male with a knife to her throat. The black male broke into her apartment while she was asleep. Jennifer Thompson woke up to the stranger when he had begun to attack her. When she first saw her attacker, she offered to give him her car and money, but he declined that’s when she realized he wasn’t there to rob her but to rape her. During the time Jennifer Thompson was being raped, she tried to remember the characteristics of the black male so that later she could identify him to the police. Jennifer Thompson was able to escape out of the back the door of her apartment and she ran to her neighbors home which they called the police. That same night the black male raped
The underlying issues in both cases are racial discrimination. For Cheryl Boulden in the affirmative action case the issue is being “an African American woman among the good ol’ boys in Indiana.” She was recruited because of race and her permanent handicap was seen as an asset for a diversity program lacking any. Yet these qualities made her a target of racism. Susan Finn’s ethnic discrimination presents a dilemma of how to deal with a contract physician’s abusive behavior “toward Hispanics and female staff as well as patients” (Reeves, 2006, p. 79). The chosen case involved Cherie and Tyrone who have been involved in a verbally and emotionally charged marriage for 13 years. An emergency call came in at 9:45 am made by Doug Greene who is a neighbor of the victim Anna Garcia claiming that he had not seen Anna Garcia since her normal morning walk at 6:30 am the previous morning and that the dog had been barking for 2 hours, he had also mentioned that Anna Garcia was wearing a sweater when he had seen her the previous morning while experiencing a 92 degree heat wave. Mr.Greene had called Anna’s telephone with no answer, and had also rang the doorbell with no answer. The EMT and local police had arrived to the scene at 9:56 am, needing to break the door down. EMS discovered Anna Garcia laying face down, dead.
