Tercer Cielo is a contemporary and Evangelical Christian pop musician duo. They are from Dominican Republic. I picked this Evangelical Christian pop singer because I like how they sing Christian music and I like to listen Christian music. I like how they are good people and I can see the love they have for God.

On April 16, 1971 the famous singer Selena Quintanilla was born and her music became popular and is to this day. When she was growing up she had a talent of singing and dancing and by the age of around 10 she became the lead singer in her family’s band called the Selena Y Los Dinos. From there on out she became a popular singer in the Tejano music. She was known as the “Queen of Tejano”. This affected many people, her music was so great that people liked to dance along with her music. There was people who grew up listening to Selena, an example is me, I grew up listening to her music and loved it. I would listen to her music when I got the chance and just close my eyes and be mesmerized by her music. There are people out there today that when they listen to her music they are affected by her singing and just let go and dance to the rhythm.
Now, how does the Latino culture play a part of a Latina’s self-esteem? There is this concept, Marianismo, that affects a girl's self-esteem in a good and bad way. Marianismo is the female equivalent of machismo; it is considered to be the realization of the feminine, and characterized by hyper feminine behavior. This could seem bad because it’s basically women accepting their roles, such as, housewives, in the Mexican culture.

During the time of the discovery day dance, Trujillo was desiring to dance with the misses. He came across one lady who seemed to be perfect for him, one who stood out better than the rest. She was a fine woman in his eyes. So, he chose her to dance with. They appeared to have had a casual conversation for awhile it seemed.
Los Cenzontles is a band, a nonprofit organization, a music academy, a community space for youth and families as well as a hub for Latino artists. The group works together to amplify Mexican roots in the Bay Area and beyond. Los Cenzontles produces original music, videos, and educational tools. They also teach classes in traditional Mexican music, dance, and arts and crafts. The group operates Los Cenzontles Mexican Arts Center in San Pablo, California. Dr. Lopez and Dr. Morrison were able to bring this band to Sonoma State University Weill Hall, especially for our CALS 165 class.
Living in the twenty-first century where everything is temporary, it is difficult to find any type of art that represents and inspires a group of people. Twenty-three years after the death of the young Mexican-American artist, her songs and personality that once defined her continue to influence many Latinos and Latinas.
The Los Banos Unified School District enrolls about 11000 students in Kindergarten through the 12th grade. The School District supports nine elementary schools, two junior highs, two high schools and one alternative high school. The School District is led by seven members of the Board or education. The School district employs five hundred and seventy-five certificated employees and four hundred and twenty-five classified employees. The schools are all currently full, with many residential divisions currently being built in Los Banos. In 1891 a boy named Rafael Trujillo was born by a middle aged family in San Cristobal on October 24, 1891. Another thing was that he was one of 11 children and was the third of them all. When he started growing up Trujillo wanted a job so what he decided to do was go and take a job as a Telephone Operator at the age of 16 years after attending a formal elementary school and a private middle school. So after he had his job for a little while Trujillo decided to forge a check from his family bank and because of that he lost his job and also was served time in jail. Also in 1916 Trujillo was known to be in a gang that had also supported him to his criminal ways and was part of the reason that he had forged the check in the first place. After

To participate in worship, a person must have a relationship with God. In other words, how can a person worship someone he/she does not know or experienced. To obtain that link an individual must become a part of the body of Christ by accepting Jesus as their personal Savior and surrender their will for God's will and plans for their life. They must also have had an encounter with God as Saul on the Damascus road and David with his many issues. However, music has a multipurpose, it drives away evil spirits, calms the mind, and drives a person toward the love and warmth of Christ.
Last week Middle Tennessee State University ( MTSU) invited a professional Conjunto musician players. As a history class students we had to go and see their performance because Conjunto music is a traditional Mexican music. We had a lot of fun listening to their music and personally I would love to go again and listen to this music because this music is take you away back to the old Mexican music. Therefore, while you listening to this music, you feel like this music is talking to your soul.
