KRESKIN is a compelling proposed new TV crime show. It features mentalist, Kreskin, known as the “Amazing Kreskin.” While detective shows are familiar to the industry, the concept of teaming Kreskin with the first female FBI agent is very exciting. It’s a solid hook for a show. The main characters feel castable. One can certainly conceive this as an on-going series. The pilot contains plenty of strengths, but there are some minor creative suggestions to discuss. First, for the strengths: the time and setting feels authentic with the Manson killings, Watergate, and the Zodiac killer. The goal of the TV series is clear. The concept is a strong setup for a long-term series. The formula or format is well-defined in that each week they will …show more content…
This script delivers two very complex core characters that drive the pilot. The first is Kreskin. He’s a character that the viewer roots for. He’s charming, witty, smart, but he’s also very vulnerable. He faces moral decisions. He makes for a complex protagonist. His dialogue is strong and reveals a lot about his character and mood. The script does a good job in establishing him as a loner. The irony is that he’s famous, has thousands of fans, but he lives a lonely life. Kreskin has a solid backstory regarding the abduction of his brother. It’s hoped that a future episode can explore this part of his …show more content…
She’s another complex and flawed character that is easy to watch. The idea of her being the first female FBI in the department is a good choice because this creates interpersonal conflict, as well as internal struggle. Diane is presented as a person who does deeply battle her inner demons. She balances being a woman within a male dominated world. She has a tough, hard exterior that covers up her vulnerability. There’s an implied backstory about a baby, which one assumes will become clearer later. The only questionable scenes are her sleeping with a stranger. It’s not clear that this fits with her personality and one thinks she would hide any crying (page 63). Nevertheless, these two characters generate good buddy attraction, which is crucial to the success of this series. They both are lonely characters; they complement and challenge one another. Kreskin works from his mental instincts and Diane works from evidence and data, but both their worlds nicely collide together. Diane has to learn more about her mental intuition, and Kreskin he has to learn to look at evidence. The characters exchange sharp and challenging dialogue, which helps create interpersonal conflict. The dialogue is another solid feature. Conversations reveal information about plot and character. Moreover, the voices sound compelling and
In December of 1986, Kuklinski was finally arrested on murder, robbery, and illegal weapons violations. Later after confessing to other charges, thirty years were added to his already two life term sentences. His long crime spree lasted for about thirty seven years and killing 150+ people. While behind bars he was a relatively famous figure. He was involved in multiple interviews and documentaries.
In the biography “The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer” By Philip Carlo, Richard Kuklinski can be considered a man-made psychopath, as there are thoughts that he was made to be who he was through nurture; such as his family, rather than being born this way. It was often thought Richard could be two different people, the “good Richard” and “bad Richard”. The book explains how Richard lived his life as a contract killer that could be hired for many different Mafia families, as he was not Italian.
Kelly's extraordinary hair and wings immediately catch Dekin's lustful interest. Thrust together by fate, Dekin and Kelly must put aside their differences and work together in order to flee their jailers.
She is not the main character and her story is not the main idea for the whole book. She is only one activist among thousand activists during Civil Rights period. She works and fights for racial equality women's rights. Her belief is the same with others. At this point, it is a significant key to civil rights. This idea becomes idealism for whole Civil Rights activists at that time. They believe to have a good life, freedom, and racial equality, especially women's rights after the movement ends up. For instance, women could vote, poor children could go to school, citizens have equal conditions for health, work, and religion. As a result, under President John F. Kennedy’s period, Diane was appointed to a national committee that led to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She worked for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference under Martin Luther King, Jr. from 1961 to 1965. Her relationship is only with people who are weak or who fight for the right. She always stand on the right side and fight for them. I think she is very happy now as she see the life that she dreamed come true. She should (must) proud of her decision as the result she and her teams have
Kath thinks that Kevin has bias against her and got angry. Helen is a round character in the story. “ the girls picking on me were secretly miserable or something”(McNaughton,65). It shows that Helen does not have a good friendship with other people. When Kath asked her about Robyn, her reacion was “Helen ducked her head like she’d been hit” (Mcnaughton,63). It shows that Helen is a kind of unconfident and timid. Although she is quite, she still want to prove herself and change other people’s view about her. She participated the talent show auditions with Kevin and it was successful at last. Both Helen and Kevin recieved a big round of applause. Helen proves that she sings well. “I had a feeling no one would ever call her Mouse again” (McNaghton,67). This sentence show that other people change their views about Helen. She gets complimented from Chirstine who is the popular girl. She becames more confident. Kevin is a static character. He never changes his personality. He not only helps Helen but also cares about kath. “Queen of nothing now” (McNaghton,67). This sentence show that his thoughts don’t change too. He thinks that Kath isn’t the queen of the
With that said, there’s room for more development in the areas of structure, pace, tension, and character development.
looks at how the director choose to introduce the situation the characters face, the conflict that happens and the resolution of the story.

All of the characters presented in the movie have a distinct personality, making the viewer engage deeply in the heart pumping action and drama.
This character driven show would follow three well-acquainted families as they navigate through daily life. These families were discovered by hungry producers looking for an interesting group of people to be in a new show when a friend of Mary Nkiese referred her to them.
There is no shortage of character motivation and depth in the novel. Khalil is back because Corey prevented him from completing his original mission, and he's added Corey and Kate to his list of targets. It’s a fine detective and his beautiful partner, against a ruthless murderer. Theses typical sex-role stereotypes add to the spice that any good action-thriller book should
The audience is able to instantly understand what is happening in a scene and how it impacts on what has happened and what is occurring in present time. The play uses its style perfectly with its use of extended dialogue to convey meaning and tell the story. The audience can get lost in its story as there are no confusing abstract themes to throw them, everything the story is about is laid out before them and this helps with understanding the dramatic meaning as the dramatic meaning is very serious and realistic, just like the storytelling style.
Additional resources that will assist and inform my work are scripts from series of the same genre as science fiction, also highly dramatic programs that will demonstrate prose and stylistic structure necessary to fulfil the project objects. Three series that I believe will help my dramatic prose and structure for the show are Arrow, Supernatural, and Nashville. The super natural human element connected through family bond and emotional drama that allows the audience to connect with the personal journeys of individual characters because they are relatable and resonate with viewers allowing close participatory viewing. It a science fiction drama aimed at superhuman abilities with human emotions and qualities.
Throughout the novel the dreams take place at very important points in Raskolnikov’s life. The placement and content of the dreams give the reader insight into Raskolnikov’s mind. The reader know exactly what Raskolnikov is thinking about at that period of time in his life. Without the dreams, the reader would not feel or understand all the anguish that Raskolnikov is enduring throughout the book. By
