System Analysts
System analysts are extremely important in creating a system that is valuable for an organization. They must have both technical and business skills so that they can help the technical people make something that’s valuable for the business. They need to also understand how to merge the business current technological setting with the new one. These system analysts also must be ethical because they may often handle information that could cause damage if given to others. They also require analytical skills so that they can solve any issues from the project level to the organizational level. Finally system analysts need interpersonal and managing skills. They obviously need to be able to communicate efficiently with the programmers and business managers and to be able to manage the people they work with. There are six different roles of system analysts. To begin there is the project manager role. This is the leader of the project. They need to make sure that the project will be completed by the deadline, within the budget, and has the anticipated value to the business. For our project Patrick shall fill this role. He shall make sure that everything is done and turned in on time. He will be the leader of the project, so he must keep everyone on track and make sure the system will bring the expected value to the organization. Another role is the business analyst. This person mainly concentrates on the business issues of the system. They will

In order to discover the issues with the system, the analyst must be able to interact with the business to identify how their current systems work. This means that a systems analyst must have complete access to their databases as well as being allowed to interact with employees. The main reason why the systems analyst would need to interact with the employees is so they are able to find the strengths and weaknesses of the system. This is useful to them as they will be able to identify what areas of the system need to be changed and what areas should be kept the same.

Systems analysis refers to a problem solving technique where a business or procedure is studied and the goals are identified in order to create information systems to help the business achieve their goal more efficiently and easier. Systems analysts obtain feedback from the system users in various ways e.g. interviews, questionnaires etc. More importantly they find out from the users what their specific requirements are regarding the proposed system and then use the information obtained to formulate requirements for the system, the system is then written ensuring that all the requirements and expectations are met.
