Many people have died for this country. They died for freedom, liberty, and justice. Most American soldiers who died in the past 15 years died in the Middle East. The United States should not be involved in the Middle East for three reasons. The United States are risking the lives of soldiers and civilians in the Middle East. The United States can be targeted by terrorists from the Middle East. The United States does not have very strong relationships in the Middle East.
Most conflicts in the Middle East have caused the United States to intervene. This puts many U.S. soldiers and Middle Eastern civilians in danger.

Carl Bildt of the Washington Post, wrote an article relating to Donald Trump’s foreign policy and he mentioned, “Iran has a ballistic missile program that is rightly seen as threatening by its neighbors. But it is hardly alone in this. Israel's ballistic missile arsenal is likely to be far more sophisticated. And though this fact is little discussed, Saudi Arabia has acquired Chinese ballistic missiles with regional reach” (Bildt). From the quote one can assume the Middle Eastern countries can wreak havoc on their neighbors. If the countries used them it would result in many more casualties of soldiers and civilians. That event would have the potential of starting a third World War.
U.S. involvement in the Middle East has caused several terrorist attacks not only in the United States but, all around the world. Paradoxically, with U.S. involvement in the Middle East, terrorism continues.
The United States has spent billions of dollars fighting terrorism. Dr. Emile Nakhleh wrote an article regarding diplomatic relations with Iran and at one point he said, “America has spent billions of dollars fighting al-Qaeda and its affiliated groups and more recently the Islamic State (ISIS or IS) with little to show for it” (Nakhleh). This quote shows the United States and its allies have been negatively affected by terrorism for the past few decades. Also, the United States have been fighting terrorism and terrorism
