COMPANY INFORMATION Introduction
In 2002, Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes have founded Atlassian and currently are the co-CEOs of the company. Atlassian is a software company and developer which design software development tools for collaboration in Australia. To help all the organizations realizing their own visions and hence work more collaboratively. One of the main software produced by Atlassian is JIRA Software, it is used for knowledge management, development workflow, continuous integration as well as real-time collaboration. (Atlassian, 2017)The second one is Confluence, it is a content collaboration software for teamwork. (Altassian, 2017) Now Atlassian has evolved into a company with over 1700 employees in June 2016.

For the value ‘play, as a team’, it means Atlassian wants all of its employees to work with each other, not just for one himself or herself. ‘Be the change you seek’ means Atlassian encourages employees to create positive change to improve the product, company, and environment.
In Atlassian, the information will be posted on the wiki that can read for all the staffs instead of sending an email. John Rotenstein, senior business analyst at Atlassian said that one day when he documented his work in an email, he received a two words response ‘Blog it’, from the day on, John begins to publish his activities to the entire team and the entire company. (Rotenstein, 2011) From this real-life example, not only the core value had been achieved, but also the value ‘play, as a team’.
The lead product designer D. Keith Robinson, in his word, ‘In my experience…Going out of your way to look at things from different angles, get differing points of view, and work with people from different backgrounds or disciplines will result in many more opportunities and options to explore.’ (Robinson, 2015) It can be seen that Atlassian’s values fit its employees and it attracts many of talented people to work for the company.

A Need For Change In western culture, people are treated differently based on resources, family heritage, and now personal achievements. Social classing and the consequences of it have been prevalent in societies since ancient times. Although it has been called by different names such as caste, stratification, Bourgeoisie vs. Aristocrats, and Plebeians vs. Patricians, social inequality remains. One of the greatest strengths of the internal control procedures of Jounta Enterprises is that the company follows the principles of approval and segregation of duties; no single person has complete control over all buying activities. The manager of the purchasing department has to approve the requisition purchase and Purchase order before it is mailed; therefore there is a clear indication of who wanted the item and who said that it could be purchased. The requirement for the approval of a purchase requisition provides the company with a control to reduce the risk of fraud and prevent unnecessary purchases being made. This method protects the company from any rogue orders and ensures that supplies and expenses are carefully controlled.
My career for the future is a family and marriage therapist. I choose that career because I thought it so interesting to listen to someone and things that happen to them, when you just might of meet them. Infosys is an IT consulting company based in India but primarily doing business with North American firms looking to outsource their IT needs. With the rise of the popularity in this form of business between the United States and India, there have been several political factors in both countries that will affect the way Infosys does business. In the US, President Obama made outsourcing a hot topic of his campaign platform. With speeches such as “Say no to Bangalore, yes to Buffalo” he is looking to provide incentives to American companies to keep all of their jobs on American soil, close tax loopholes and eliminate breaks given to companies that outsource to firms such as Infosys. On the flip side though, the US government is also looking to change immigration policies to restrict H-1B visas that would have previously allowed foreign skilled technical workers to be brought in to the US on work visas. While they won’t be eliminating them, they are seeking to restrict them which would force Infosys to hire employees from the US for any work they would be doing in the country and restricting the available talent pool. Meanwhile, the government in India is making changes of their own, particularly with reforming the tax code.
