There are remarkable places to visit for instance New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles , but a place that is worth visiting with one ticket, is sweet home Alabama. Alabama is a place not any person will choose as a first pick , which is understandable . But as for myself this place surpasses perfect ,the state has adventure written all over , and that's what I’m about , always down for an adventure . Being in love with the planet and its art , is breathtaking the setting is imaginative and alluring .This is what Alabama is made of, entering the state gives chills , the feeling is so surreal ,the scenery seems as an advertisement catalog photo , photoshopped to perfection . Every direction pine trees fill gaps , roads guided by

Is the Confederate flag a symbol of Southern Culture or a symbol of racial injustice? Dictionary.com defines symbol as “a material object representing something, often something immaterial.” When the Civil War first started, the flag became a representative of the Confederate side of the war. After the war, it was thought to be rebellion. Now, it is a symbol of the Southern culture.
WATKINS GLEN (WENY) - After a gunman opened fired at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina, nearly two months ago, it sparked a conversation across the country over the symbolism of the Confederate Flag. That's because the man behind the crime was seen posing in pictures with the flag, which is also viewed by many as promoting racism, rather than Southern history. The debate prompted many industries to stop the sale of merchandise showing the Confederate Flag, including NASCAR.
Local governments must make sure all bodies in the community are happy, otherwise, the unhappiness of its citizens will start to affect other areas of concern for the government, like crime and the welfare of the community. If public spaces are for all of the public, then local governments must make sure that no citizen finds the artwork or monuments displayed in public areas offensive or harmful in any way. By doing this, the government ensures happy citizens and a comfortable environment for all.
For the past few months there has been lots of controversy of wither or not the Confederate Flag should be taken down. The removal of the Confederate Flag had been brought up again because a man by the name of Dylan Roof had shot and killed 9 innocent people who were attending Bible study at the Emanuel AME in Charleston, South Carolina, Wednesday June 17, 2015. People all over the United States have been arguing over this topic, no one can agree on wither or not we should take down the flag. In my opinion the flag and any other historical monument that relates to the Civil War should be left alone.
Although the confederate flag was not originally created to be a hate symbol, it became one over the years. If there is any symbol or material item that offends a certain ethnic group, it can, and will most likely, be labeled as a racist insignia. When something goes as far as offending and restricting the rights of men and their equality, then it is racist and should not be tolerated to fly above a man’s home or dwelling. If an item such as the confederate flag plays such a significant role in history, it should be remembered in a museum. By putting it into a museum, it will be respected, not forgotten, and the people whose lives had been affected by the Confederate Flag are not in any situations where they feel scared, at risk of harm, inadequate or unequal; the people shall not be persecuted or feel as though they are being persecuted. The Confederate Flag should not fly amongst the people any longer. The past is the past.
The confederate flag is one of the utmost controversial symbols used in the United States today. There is one question that arises to the use of the flag. Should students in Palmyra Area High school be permitted to advertise information that supports the display of the Confederate Flag in the atrium? Many people feel that the flag should not be shown and any information related to it disclosed from a school setting; however, there are some people that feel that it is their right to display that flag and display information advocating it. I feel that the flag should not be shown in a school atrium and any information pertaining to the flag disclosed from a school setting because of class disruption, case precedent and ethics.
The Confederate Flag has been around since the nineteenth century. It was used by the Confederate Army to show that they unite under a different union, and not the one that will bind our nation as a whole. It took nine deaths. Nine innocent lives had to be taken before the people of the United States to open their eyes and see what the Confederate flag really symbolizes. The Confederate flag has been flying at government sites, universities, and personal residences for decades, but only recently has this ongoing issue been reignited. After a single gunman, a known racist, opened fire in a predominantly African-American church in South Carolina, the controversy of the Confederate flag has gained attention. The vehicle driven by the shooter bore a license plate featuring this long-time symbol of the South. Since this tragic incident, many people have weighed in on what the Confederate flag actually represents. Though the Confederate flag is to

Concerning the Confederate States of America, Representative Corrine Brown stated, “Southern states in the Confederacy were not ready to give up their fight to secede or give up their way of life, which was made possible in large part by the blood, sweat, and tears of African slaves.” The Confederate States of America was a group of eleven states that seceded from the Union as a result of conflicting opinions of what a state’s rights were. The Confederacy was characterized by three major events, its formation, its part in the Civil War, and Reconstruction of the South following the war.
