I agree with both of you it’s important for the supervisor to have direct contact with his or her employees. Not only does management need to oversee the daily actives of his or her employees but establish a good relationship as well. In any organization building a rapport with customers is a vital part of customer service.
I thinks it’s nice that your company recognizes employee birthdays and I can see how that will make them feel special. I think recognition even something this small makes employees feel like available asset to the company.
The service user should be in the centre of all supervision ensuring that they receive the best possible care .A key principle of supervision is for the supervisor to support the supervisee to understand the policies and standards of the home and what is expected of them to ensure they work to the highest of the standards .
A good supervisor is firm and yet gentle with the employees. Providing continuous and constructive feedback to employees is a must for a person in any supervisory capacity. Supervisors who are helpful and appreciative of good work are much better in their capacity as
As a medical assistant I can make a patient with a skin disorder feel more comfortable by allowing the patient to tell me what they are willing to do. I would not overstep my boundaries by pushing a patient to do something that they are not comfortable with. Although if the doctor is recommending that a patient needs to show more skin than they are used to, I as the medical assistant will tell the patient why it is advised and why they should corporate. If the patient still does not want to do it, I will simply note it in their chart and let the doctor handle the situation from then on.
I carry out the supervisions to my team leaders as well as support workers to promote and support an effective communication within their role. I ensure they undertake the relevant training to help them communicate better to lead our company to a success.
Ethical dilemmas are particularly sensitive issues in the workplace because the well-being of the individuals and the organization as a whole are at stake. Employees must feel as though they are being supported and not punished, and should not feel as though they were being put on display; their dignity should always remain intact. This paper examines how, as a high school principle, I would address the issue of one of the high school teachers becoming addicted to prescription drugs.
My supervisor should regularly observe me and provide feedback of my performance. If I was not receiving feedback, being observed, or meeting with my supervisor, then I would know that I was not being effectively supervised. This is a complicated issue because I would not want to anger my supervisor, but I would need to speak to my supervisor about the lack of contact hours. If the supervisor has taken on too many responsibilities and does not have time to supervise me, I should attempt to find another qualified supervisor to supervise
Supervision should be planned and adopted to the changing conditions. It calls for good planning and organization.
Personal values may conflict with ethical decision making if those personal values are different than the organizational norms of the business or institution. Constructing, and maintaining personal ethics in the workplace rests with the individual, and how willing he or she is in assimilating to the evolving cultural dynamic of the corporate world. Many times a person find their personal, cultural and/or organizational ethics conflicting and must reconcile a course of action that will mitigate cognitive dissonance. In order to be a productive member of society, in small groups and globally, one must reconcile these conflicts on a daily basis and continually move forward while maintaining personal integrity and
To gain more insight on how social media can cause infidelity in relationships, I searched “social media impact on relationships” and an article, written in the summer of 2015, by Lori Ann Wagner, and published by the Journal of Individual Psychology caught my eye. Wagner’s article, “When Your Smartphone Is Too Smart for Your Own Good: How Social Media Alters Human Relationships” argues that mediated communication is changing the way that humans interact with each other. Wagner states that humans desire social connections and the easiest way to meet those needs are through social media. Humans use their five senses -- touch, taste, see, hear, and smell -- to really understand their environment around them. Social media interferes with our
Birthdays have always been a thing of great importance to me. Whether it's me or any of my close friends and or family, I always have thought that birthdays and the aspect of remembering someone elses are the most important thing someone can do for a person. No matter the age whether 6, 10, or 85, doing it big and celebrating for someone is a particular way of showing someone how much they mean to you whether it is shown by a simple card or with a big party. In addition to my birthday being very important to me, I go out of my way to make sure that my friends and family feel equally special when there time comes. Nevertheless, my birthdays in particular have always been amazing thanks to the effort and love shown by everyone; but this one in particular, the celebration in which I turned sixteen will always be one to remember.
Kadushin describes a supervisor as someone "to whom authority is delegated to direct, coordinate, enhance, and evaluate on-the-job performance of the supervisees for whose work he/she is held accountable. In implementing this responsibility, the supervisor performs administrative, educational, and supportive functions in interaction with the supervisee in the context of a positive relationship" (Powell, 1993).
The debate over capital punishment has been raging on for countless number of years. Capital punishment has been used for thousands of years due to the physiological fear it inflicts on the people who witness and learn about the death penalty. The use of this punishment has helped to reduce crime and alter the minds of future criminals to deter them against committing heinous crimes such as murder, treason, espionage, terrorism and in some cases aggravated kidnapping. Advocates say it deters crime while abolitionists say it is unconstitutional. It is historically shown that the use of capital punishment is justified. Capital punishment should be upheld due to its constitutionality, morality, and deterrence against heinous acts.
1. Ethics is a topic that sparks a lot of debate amongst different groups of people; it is hard to keep everyone in an organization happy. Research one ethical issue that is prevalent in the workplace and decide, as a leader, how you would handle it. Use Exercise 7-3 “Organizational Ethics” to aid you in your answer.
Capital punishment often referred to as the death penalty has been used as a method of crime deterrence since the earliest societies it has been a controversial position amongst lawmakers for centuries. Capital punishment does not deter crime; instead, it encourages it. Today, only thirty-two states still use the death penalty because they believe that a state with the death penalty has higher murder rates than states without it (“States With and Without the Death Penalty”).
