The opportunity to participate in the Summer Focus Program will provide me with a multitude of new experiences and challenges. The chance to participate in this program will challenge me in ways that will help me grow as a student. Being apart of this program will provide me with career guidance. I’m very interested in the science and medical field, but I’m unsure as to what I specifically want to study. The Young Scientist Program will help give me a feel of what this specific field is like. My experiences with the program will also provide me with preparation needed for college and the application process. As a soon to be rising senior, college is not too far away and guidance with the application process would help me tremendously. Participation

I’m interested in attending USNA Summer STEM because I have a strong interest in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I plan on attending the United States Naval Academy and graduate as a Nuclear Reactor Engineer and serve my country for life. I have made strong connections with the staff at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and want to make great connections with the staff, cadets, and shipmates I’d be working alongside with at the academy. I hope to serve my country with Honor, Courage, and Commitment in the STEM field of the U.S. Navy.
Our activities for National FFA Week included dress up days, making teacher gift baskets, we had a bonfire/ chili cook-off social and we had a segment on our local news channel, WALB which reaches over 140,000 people! The dress up days included, hat day, FFA t-shirt day, Agricultural product day, Career day, and finally Blue and Gold day/ Silent Officer day. We also have tractors from all of our local dealerships and displayed them in front of the school. The gift baskets that we made for the teachers included a bag of peanuts and popcorn. Silent Officer Day was a day where all of the FFA officers wore a giant FFA emblem and had to be silent ALL day. We could only talk to our teachers, if we talked to another student they took our emblem and that night at the social they got to pie that officer in the face.
This essay reflects my experience in EOP’s Summer Bridge Program and its capitals, making EOP a place of Community Cultural Wealth. Tara J. Yosso discusses capitals in a Community Cultural Wealth (CCW). According to Yosso, Community Cultural Wealth is “an array of knowledges, skills, abilities and contacts possessed and used by Communities of Color to survive and resist racism and other forms of oppression.”(p.157). There are many types of capitals contributing to Community Cultural Wealth; specifically, Aspirational Capital, Familia Capital, Social Capital, Navigational Capital, Resistance Capital, and Linguistic Capital. These capitals give less advantaged people advantages to succeed and survive.
The Penn Activity Center, better known as the PAC, one of the most different building on the entire campus of William Penn University. The PAC is where student and mostly all student-athletes will spend most of their time while on campus if not in their dorm room, in Penn Hall, or in Wilcox library. Students and faculty uses this newly built facility for many purposes throughout their time on William Penn’s campus. The PAC has so much to offer for students to be successful here at WPU from classrooms, laboratories, athletic practice facilities, a newly implemented health clinic and so much more.
My examples will be different from yours, but these are just guidelines for you to go by, something to help you stay focused and on track. Your focus points are not the same points from your book summary, but they should be connected. I like to make my focal points my chapters, this helps me to narrow down what I am talking about. I picked the subject of natural hair, because I have been on that journey for over ten years now (my second journey). The reason, I used this for an example is because I know what I am talking about, especially when it comes to my hair.
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become
Medicine is a vast field. I have taken various health science classes over the past three years that have given me a brief overview of medicine and physiology. However, I believe that a summer experience at Summer Ventures would allow me to gain a better understanding of science by immersing myself in research and other learning opportunities. During my sophomore year of high school I took AP Psychology to complement my schedule. I wasn’t very serious about the course in the beginning, but over time I found myself becoming really intrigued with the subject. Moreover, I have been left with a lasting desire to learn more about the brain and the human body. An opportunity to do research on a topic such as the health sciences would not only provide
My interest for the Attorney Advisor position with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) arises from my longstanding commitment to constantly improve myself. I have always enjoyed legal research, writing, and the complexities of intellectual property. I have no doubt that my enthusiasm to research, my eagerness to learn, and my strong ability to communicate clearly, work efficiently, accurately, and quickly, will make me an invaluable asset to the USPTO. I believe these traits combined with my unique skillset, developed as a result of experiences working for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (Diamondbacks), Nike Inc. (Nike), and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Liability Management Department (AG Office)

My interest to participate in the summer immersion program comes from the passion that I have for caring for the vulnerable populations and my inheriting love for helping others. From the beginning of my nursing education, providing healthcare to vulnerable populations in different settings healthcare has always been important to me. I believe access to quality healthcare is a right that every person should have. My belief of healthcare for everyone has been my motivation for pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner (NP). I would like the opportunity to fulfill healthcare needs in people who do not have access to healthcare in low in come communities and countries by providing them
We can see that LG HHC was losing money, and was never very profitable in economic terms, after allowing for cost of capital. This was mainly due to limited access/scale of distribution; cosmetics was not the main business for LG HHC. On the other hand Amore Pacific enjoyed a strategic advantage over LG as all their efforts were centered around the cosmetics business and they had greater advantages to leverage and typically get trade and consumer on their side; thus share of specific market winning over total size of business.
-To be honest, my interest to participate in an exchange program to Xiamen University is a recent one I formed after hearing the news that there is an opportunity for economic majors to study in China.
As a recent college graduate, I passionately believe there is an immense necessity to empower our future generations by mentoring and inspiring them to actively participate in the world. My time devoted to community organizing, developing youth programming, and facilitating outreach programs enlightened me about the importance of having resources available to society. I have noticed that a majority of youth between the age of 12 and 18 are at a high risk for dropping out of school, gang affiliation, substance abuse and mental health conditions. In addition, there are very little accessible health and social care for minority elderlies. Therefore, I was inspired to pursue a career working with people in hopes to minimize their struggles and
All schools have a break; whether, it is summer or spring break. Most people look forward to the week of spring break. Where everyone goes insane. Personally, I believe spring break is an extraordinary way to let loose and relax. My spring break was relaxing; therefore, I feel animated to return to school.
