The purpose of this paper is to present a comprehensive yearly plan for Skylar Community College a small, but rapidly growing college in the small town of Skylar, Texas. The college has decided to revise its strategic plan by looking at its current year enrollment which has declined as compared to previous years. The college has asked its President to prepare this comprehensive plan and present it before the Board to implement for the next year. The paper starts with a brief overview of the mission and vision of Skylar Community College by discussing its major areas of concern in the long run.
A lot of catholic schools are closing for many reasons such as a faltering economy, fewer Church members, rising costs and the inability of families to pay, secularization, and changing demographics. The school I chose is St. Agatha Catholic academy, which a is a kids program in Chicago. St. Agatha Catholic Academy is closing at the end no of 2016 due to low enrollment and financial difficulties. They recently turned into a pre kindergarten through the eight grade school last year, they only enrolled twelve children. The pastor of St. Agatha said that "It was pretty much expected. We're at a point (where) the community is inundated with pre-K programs. For me it
Speaker Ryan has proposed freezing Pell Grants at their current levels for ten years and would eliminate the mandatory spending funds of the program. Do you support this or other proposals to reduce per student Pell?
Cypress College offers many student services. However after three semesters at Cypress College I can personally say that the library and LRC are one of the most helpful student services in the entire college. As students we all have different schedules, some of work others have tight schedules that make it seem impossible to go print our or work on that paper we need to do. However the LRC and the Library are open from Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 9:00pm there for allowing students to go in at later hours to work on any assignments they may have. Both the library and the Learning resource center have amazing and friendly staff who are always willing to help you in anything you may need. The library counts with hundreds of book that most defiantly
We need your assistance in getting Janna enrolled in the Home Bound Program. According to Hanna, the program administrators are asking questions about Janna’s eligibility into the program. The requirements listed on the program website makes me to believe that Janna indeed qualifies for the service based on the conditions listed below. Since you are most familiar with Janna’s condition and her requirements, I have decided to reach out to you all and ask for your support. To expound the reasons for the Janna’s needing for the service, I listed several things below, including her latest hospitalization.
Educational opportunity program at Cal Poly Pomona and all other twenty three California State University campuses address the access and equity for these minority group of students in higher education to provide support services for low income, first generation students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds. On February 22, 2016, I was assigned this case for follow up. I was assigned a second case on February 24, 2016. The person involved in both investigations is Ms. Kassidy Pullara a fourteen year old T.C. Williams High School student. I contacted Doris L. Stanley (Guardian) and was granted access at school to interview Kassidy Pullara in school.
I would be honored to be part of the Marshall High School National Honors Society because I enjoy helping out the community in many ways. I like the feeling of knowing I helped out the community. In the future, I would like to take some of the qualities I may acquire from NHS on to college and future communities; team work, communication, leadership, time management, and taking the initiative are all qualities I believe are very important for the future. Being in NHS would help push me to do well in not only school, but everyday life as well. I believe NHS will help motivate and inspire me to go above and beyond out of my comfort zone to try new things.
The group chosen for our project was the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill branch of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (UNC FCA). This organization’s main purpose is worshipping Jesus Christ through participating in athletic and charitable activities. We chose UNC FCA because our group is fairly diverse with our religious preferences, and we all felt we could benefit from understanding more about not only Christianity here at the university level, but also how UNC FCA blends both sports and religion together. We believed this organization would be heavily centered on sports, but in reality a majority of the members are not athletes. In fact, some members told us this is a common misconception. One of the members, senior Dustin
"Welcome Caitlin. You will be sitting next to Chloe for the week." replied Miss Stacy. As the two girls sat down, Miss Stacy began the art lesson. They drew blossom trees and Caitlin's was impeccable.
I just recently received notice that I am no longer eligible for the Hope Scholarship and I would like to appeal this decision. I honestly was not aware of the ramifications for dropping a class and putting my status as a student to part time. The reason I had to drop this class was due to my daughter being incarcerated into the Weakley County Detention Center. When this event happened it left me being the sole caretaker of her three minor children ranging from 8 months to 7 years of age. I work a full time job 5-6 days per week, and I also care for my own disabled child with Autism that has many health issues ranging from a heart defect to scoliosis. I knew there was not any way I could fully give this class what I needed to succeed and pass
High school graduates beginning a career in the absence of applicable training become overhead to their employer until gaining enough knowledge to work independently, contribute to a team or add meaningful value to an organization. Each will have unique requirements aligned with their industry, competitive space and the culture that defines it. Generally speaking, failing to invest some startup capital with new employees could result in the same deficiencies they most assuredly wish to avoid. These aren’t requirements unique to any particular group either because even experienced hires need time to gain familiarity with routine proprietary guidelines and operating standards. For example, in the case of a newly minted high school graduate,
During my first year placement, I was placed at Compton YouthBuild (CYB). CYB is a program that offers young people educational and vocational opportunities. CYB provides youth with opportunities in community advocacy, leadership development, career pathways, and construction training.
Warrenton, Missouri is a town made up of about 8,000 mostly middle class Caucasians located in Warren County, MO. The county is home to two school districts, Warren County R-III School District and Wright City School District (Warrenton, 2014). This is a rural county and covers 431 square miles, much of which is forest and farmland (Warren County, 2014). Warren County R-III School District has a little over 3100 students enrolled and mirrors the city and county in that it is mostly Caucasian, with a small percentage of minorities including African Americans, Asians, Hispanics, and Native Americans in attendance (Missouri Comprehensive, 2014). Warrenton has been one of the fastest growing cities in Missouri as westward expansion out of St. Louis continues. However, in the last few years, many businesses have been leaving the area causing the growth to slow. The average education level in Warrenton is below the national average (Warrenton Missouri, 2014).
“Yes. And if you’ve forgotten, then go to either Ms. Brennan or myself.” Mr. Skonecki said, eyes holding a threatening look to them, daring any of the kids to say they forgot. After all, they did remind them
