The jury chosen for Casey Anthony’s trial found her not guilty for the murder of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee ; however, she was found guilty for four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer. Now the question flowing through everyone’s mind is why did she lie if she had no reason to? It seems very unusual for someone to lie about something so serious such as murder. This is why Casey Anthony should have been found guilty for a lot more than a couple of white lies.

Until in 2003 when new DNA evidence led to another suspect, meaning that he was innocent. The police of Manitowoc County when they heard about this crime immediately thought Steven was to blame. They thought it was Steven because of his past crimes and family history. Even though no evidence connected Steven to the crime no other suspects were even mentioned.

When Casey was nineteen her parents had noticed that she had gained some weight, but when they asked Casey about it she denied it and said she was a virgin. She finally told her parents the truth, months into her pregnancy, and on August 9th 2005 Caylee Anthony was born. In 2008 little Caylee was found dead, and Casey was found innocent. Justice was not served for Caylee Anthony, her mother is guilty.

On November 11th, 2005, Steven Avery was wrongfully accused and arrested for First-Degree Murder. He was accused of murdering Teresa Halbach, a 25 year old photographer. She was going to take pictures of Avery's car on October 31st, 2005 in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. This was the last time she was seen.

In the book Monster, our main character, Steve is on trial for, eligibly, assisting in the murder and robbery of Aguinaldo Nesbitt. Steve is found innocent in the book, which can be agreed with as a good verdict. To clarify why the verdict can be considered as a “good” verdict we must look at who Steve is and what did he do. Steve is a considerably good person who gets wrapped up in a bad crowd and makes a bad decision. As for his involvement in the crime he didn’t actually do anything to help.
