There was once a man, a great man, who was once in the hearts of millions. Steve Irwin was a man who loved animals, reptiles in particular, almost as much as he loved life itself. He spent his life trying to educate the world on how amazing these creatures are. Irwin showed no fear, no reservations, in his journey to bring these misunderstood animals into light. some may call him reckless, others claim he was crazy, but in the end, Steve Irwin achieved his goal, planting the seeds of knowledge in young and old alike. Steve Irwin was a beacon of light on the reptile community, guiding the way for future herpetologists. Steve Irwin used risks and dangerous stunts to raise awareness. He has repeatedly wrestled crocodilians with his bare hands. “Irwin led his viewers on recklessly close encounters with deadly animals.” Steve would jump on a crocodiles back to subdue it, and fed them by hand. Irwin hs never hesitated when it came to handling venomous snakes. “Irwin claimed his risk-taking style helped to raise concern for threatened, but dangerous, animals.” He would grab a snake by the tail and support it’s body with a stick or hook. He ran a reptile park, passed down to him from his parents, with his wife. “He then met Terri Raines, a fellow nature enthusiast, whom he married.” He wanted to make his park family orientated. He taught his daughter everything he knew. “His daughter Bindi was already following in her father’s footsteps.” Irwin wanted his daughter to carry out what he was striving towards for animals.
