I am writing to express my sincere interest in Towson University physician assistant program. From my extensive review of several physician assistant programs and discussion with other professionals, it is quite evident that Towson University has an excellent program. Your program was highly recommended by many physician assistants that I have talked with, and the curriculum is outstanding.
When deciding on a school to attend, I look for certain factors: excellent reputation, distinctive curriculum, early patient exposure, the opportunity to participate in a variety of clinical rotations in diverse clinical settings, and opportunities offered to students that allow aspiring physician assistants to gather more experience. Towson University, in particular, satisfies these criteria. In fact, Towson University offers many exciting opportunities to

Just a few years ago it opened its College of Osteopathic Medicine, making it a great place for aspiring surgeons and physicians to earn their medical degrees. The school's College of Health Sciences is also home to an award-winning nursing school where students can earn nursing degrees. Current nurses can also attend the nursing school to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degrees. This program gives aspiring instructors of nursing the knowledge they need to teach the next generation of nurses vital skills. The College of Health Sciences is soon adding a physical therapy program to the course menu and a brand-new program for aspiring physical therapists to earn their degrees. A physician assistant may be one of the best careers out there currently, well at least that’s what US NEWS has recently claimed. The job security is very high. The demand for PAs are projected to grow just 30% from the year 2014 to 2024. Although you may not be labeled as an actual physician with a doctorate degree, a physician assistant gets many of the same benefits and gets to do most things that an actually doctor does. The only catch is that a physician assistant works under the supervision of a doctor.
One must endure quite a bit of schooling to become a physician’s assistant. Some information obtained from Learn How to Become tells, "The first half of schooling a person must go through is undergraduate schooling." One can major in any area before going into a master’s program, so long as this major is in health science (learnhowtobecome.org). Some courses consider a health science degree to be an associate's degree with additional science courses. In an interview a PA said, “The first degree that you’ll receive to become a physician’s assistant
Several experiences in recent years have reinforced my desire to pursue a career as a physician assistant. First, during my undergraduate education, I had the privilege of shadowing medical doctors and physician assistants
I want to attend Rush Medical College for the extensive student support resources, the opportune location, the practitioner-teacher model of education, and the preventative medicine department. Rush Medical College’s Career in Medicine Program offers the necessary support and counseling that I will need to get the most from my medical education. My main goal is to become an excellent primary care physician working with underserved communities in a diverse and urban setting. With this in mind, Rush Medical College’s metropolitan location will allow me to establish myself in an area conducive to achieving my objective. In addition, the practitioner-teacher model will provide the applied education I need to become an outstanding clinician. Lastly,
Hey everyone! My name is Allison Banze and I'm a sophomore at MSSU. This is my first year in the Respiratory Program and I will graduate with majors in Health Science and Respiratory Therapy. Eventually after getting experience working in a hospital, I would like to continue my education to become a Physician Assistant. I'm from a small town in Northeastern Missouri where my family owns a
The purpose of the event was to provide opportunities for our members to have a Q&A session with medical and PA students attending FIU. They were given the chance to ask questions about the medical and PA application process and other requirements pertaining to their future career choices. Members were encouraged to interact with the medical students and seek mentorship about their interest.
As a student with interests in becoming a physician, I have attempted to take advantage of the myriad of opportunities afforded to me through State High. I am hardworking, and strive to complete
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is your best,” says five-time NBA champion, Tim Duncan. This quote accurately summarizes my aspirations to become the best physician I can. My passion for medicine was enhanced during my Cleveland Clinic internship this past summer. I seek to begin my undergraduate studies at a university that can nurture this passion and help me reach my full potential. Northwestern University (NU) certainly fits these criteria. NU is built for excellence by providing its students the resources and tools needed to succeed. NU would challenge me with rigorous courses instructed by dedicated professors. I am particularly fond of the small classes at NU because they tend to cultivate an interactive and engaging learning environment.
I am interested in Yale because of its philosophy of treating students as adults with specific goals and passions. Rather than single-mindedly competing for certain grades or class rankings, I will be able to focus on understanding and appreciating medicine in order to meet my goal of helping to alleviate the health disparities in poverty through interdisciplinary collaboration in clinical care, research, and policy.
As I evaluate for my residency training, the first and most important quality I look for is the ability to further my education-both clinically and academically. I endeavor to find a residency program that would best train me and prepare me in all the fields of medicine by offering excellent clinical resources and teaching in a setting where the residents are encouraged to be independent and take on a higher level of responsibility for cases as their adeptness increases. I look forward for a program that not only provides me range of experience but a staff that works as a team to provide education for patients, family, community, and faculty. I am interested in a residency program that will enhance and amplify my clinical skills. The excellent
The greatest strength that I will have as PA student at Rutgers’ would be that by the time the program begins, I hold a Masters in Biomedical Science. I’m currently enrolled in a one-year post baccalaureate Master’s program at Regis University. By that time, I would have experience with research and would have worked closely with PA’s, Physicians,
I am interested in pursuing a career as a pediatrician or biomedical engineer. Many experiences have influenced my desire to enter the medical field and work with children. I found my love for children while working at a daycare, volunteering at a children’s hospital and going on a mission trip to Haiti (where I ran a kids’ club). By attending a TRIA Day in the Life of an Orthopaedic Specialist seminar and a surgical job shadow, I learned about being an orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, physician’s assistant, and an athletic trainer and was able to see four surgeries. Also, by being accepted in an internship with Dr. Michael Freehill, another orthopedic surgeon, I was able to confirm that the medical field is the right place for me. With
However the skill of medicine extends far beyond the classroom. I am a highly qualified candidate for your residency program, which requires ambition, innovation, devotion and clear communication. While at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy, I devoted my time to serving the underserved in diverse community. Furthermore, my solid understanding of computer technology has helped me provide quick and accurate patient care. This experience would also provide the opportunity to further develop my leadership skills. Through mentorship from experienced pharmacists, I will become a more effective leader ready to train other health care
