Benet Academy instilled in me a strong moral compass, a wealth of knowledge, and a large personal drive. Through my Catholic education, I now see that the world has blessed me so much thus far in life that it only feels fair to give back. The way I desire to reciprocate is to serve my country in the Army. I believe my next step is to attend Boston College, which is renowned for its excellence in the business field and ROTC programs. My goal is to become an officer in the finance corps of the U.S. Army where exceptional mathematical skills are imperative. To prepare myself, I have taken challenging courses such as Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. I know that I can contribute to the large success with my competitive knowledge and social

I have been a member of the Albert Lea FFA for five years. I have taken just about every opportunity to come my way from this program. I have participated in dairy cattle evaluation, general livestock, meat evaluation, and small animal care contests in the last 5 years. I attended Greenhand day, as well as SGLC and SLCCL the last three summers. I am proud to say I have been the top fruit sale seller the last 3 years as well. My proudest moments in FFA have been while serving as Historian in 2014 and President in 2015-2016. I led almost all of our club's activities as our advisor was on health leave. I have attended State and National Convention for 3 years also. I worked and organized our county fair food stand, while exhibiting animals at
I have been involved in the Future Farmers of America chapter at Powhatan High School since my sophomore year of high school. I took my first agriculture class sophomore year because my older sister had taken a welding class and thoroughly enjoyed it. When in the class I learned about FFA and decided to join the club because I found it interesting. That year I learned more about the organization and became interested in becoming more involved in the organization. By becoming more involved in the FFA organization, I began to become passionate about the organization and wanted to ;earn how to become more involved. At the end of my sophomore year, I interviewed to become the Reporter of the Powhatan High School FFA chapter and I was honored to be appointed to the position. Once appointed the position, I was learned leadership and organizational skills in this position. At the end of my junior year, I was appointed the a Vice Resident of Chapter and I am currently serving in this position.
Throughout my high school years I have achieved more than I thought I ever could. I began to get involved with the Evergreen FFA due to my family background of farming. As I got more involved I decided to run for an office and today I am president of the Evergreen FFA and a State Degree recipient. One thing I love about my experience in FFA is getting to help people in need and making our community a better place through all of the community service that we do. For example we go to christmas cheer to help local people in need during the holiday season. We also collect can food items for thanksgiving dinners for the less fortunate in the area.
I would love to attend Wake STEM Early College High School because I believe it will give me a head start on my learning after the high school level. Your program will improve my college experience and save thousands of dollars in college tuition by giving me an associates degree and high school diploma upon graduation. I am also exceedingly interested in a career in science or mathematics. I have always been focused on learning science and math because it is something I love to do and I can have a successful career in the future by using those skills. I understand that attending this prestigious school will require a certain level of maturity and willingness to work hard. As an 8th grader at West Lake Middle School, I am a member of the National
The main reason I came to Bronx Science was because Bronx Science was my top choice for high school. Both my mom and I felt that Bronx Science will give me better opportunities than what the University Scholars program at Francis Lewis, the other high school I was accepted into, would give me. In this course I hope to cover genetics or anatomy because I am highly interested in the human body. I would like to know how cells work as well as DNA. I would also like to know how is passed down and what DNA we share with other things, if any, because of evolution. I am interested in anatomy because I’d like to learn more about how different parts of the body works with other parts. I find the anatomy of animals and insects especially interesting because
I’m applying for a career of opportunities and experiences that will make me a better man, and to serve our country’s military. I’ve carefully observed my cousins’ experiences at the US Service Academies, and I’ve learned of the opportunities that would be available to me. Each of them has come out with more strength, more confidence, more discipline, and most importantly more character. Both the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy would challenge me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I want to take on this challenge in my life so that I will grow, and that I will play a part in ensuring the safety and security of our country.
While I am focused on a career in science, I want to utilize the Stony Brook University Honors college to strengthen my current skills and expand my knowledge to create new perspectives. An interdisciplinary education will help me develop a comprehensive understanding of important issues as well as break down the barriers of academic isolation. In many schools, there is very little communication and collaboration across departments leaving them isolated in their perspectives. In many academic fields, particularly science, the knowledge gained in one subject often serves as a way to deepen the learning experience in another subject.
money to support yourself? Last but not least, Pine Island needs to teach their students how to invest in their future. It would have been nice to know that there were tools out there such as money bonds and the stock market that I could have been investing in to help increase my financial stability over time. I have many friends that have set up money bonds that have grown over 4 percent in only three years’ time! The money in which I possess could have been growing in money bonds or even in the stock market, but my high school failed to teach me either of those options. Pine Island High School needs to step up their game and start teaching students how to properly manage their
A lot of people set a challenge to improve. By setting a challenge, individuals work hard, asking for help and advice from experienced advisors. Challenges motivate people and keep them working hard. The most significant challenge I have faced was getting a full scholarship into the private school, American Heritage High School in Plantation. This challenge was crucial for me because I came to United States in the middle of sixth grade. I went to Falcon Cove Middle School, and the school placed me in regular classes within the ESOL program. The ESOL program is a program designed for foreign students who do not speak English well. I got out of the program once I passed the placement test to the Cambridge program. In middle school, I won a variety

Famous businessperson once said “To succeed, one must be creative and persistent.” This fits perfectly to the mindset of Peninsula Catholic High School because they every year find new ways to get creative with the material along with staying persistent with some things. The balance is perfect to lead a student to a bright future. Peninsula Catholic High School did an amazing job on preparing me for my college experience by having more challenging material than other high schools, having wonderful teachers willing to go the extra mile to assist you, and showing me the importance of having respect.
I am interested in working as a Paraprofessional within the Minot Public Schools system. I knew that I wanted to work in Education since I was young. I had the oppertunity to assist students and teachers during my Senior year of High School. I have worked primarily with students in 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. I worked in a 4th Grade general education classroom,a 3rd grade general music classroom, and a 4th grade general music classroom. I have also volunteered within a Special Education classroom. I completed my First Practicum when I went to college at Minnesota State University Moorhead. My family relocated to Minot. I have relocated to Minot recently and I am looking for work in
My first step when I enter Alfred Middle School is to meet with my talented staff. It’s important that I have a positive working relationship with my most important, which are my teachers, paraprofessionals and support staff. I’m pleased to hear that my staff has a great work ethic; therefore, I will be able to rely on them for support. During that initial meeting, I ask the staff for their input for the school's mission. The mission statement is most important because it establishes our purpose and why we do what we do. Furthermore, it’s imperative that we have a consensus on the statement because I will need everyone to buy in on our mission. This initiative is the segue for the vision of our school, which is the next step in my process for school improvement. Our vision gives the stakeholders what is to be expected from our school in the future. With that said, I would create two groups in effort to support of shared governance of the school. I will listen to my staff, and I would encourage participation in the decision-making process. As a counter balance, the other group will be a School Advisory Committee, which is a combination of parents, business partners and community leaders. Their primary job is to advise and recommend improvements for the school. After I have established the mission, vision and the governing groups, I will move forward to address the immediate needs for
I would like to become more actively involved on campus. I would also like to gain more leadership experience and help students on campus become successful. I would love to represent the Edinboro University Student body as a congress member, to ensure that the needs and ideas of the student are heard. I want to change the future and present state of our school.
